I'm enjoying a lot of plugin goodness but at the same time basic browsing is noticeably slower. I feel like I'm browsing under water.
- Daniel J. Pritchett
@Greg: The speed! I do most of my browsing through web apps like FF, GMail, and gReader. I loved the speed and reliability. I'm glad to have my FF sugar back (Glue, Sxipper, Delicious, GMail notifier, Adblock, Flashblock) but I'm already having speed/reliability frustrations.
- Daniel J. Pritchett
Maybe it's a different story for Firefox on Windows, but man is Firefox on a Mac slow as a dog. With no extensions, Firefox can take up to 45 seconds to launch, whereas Safari (same rendering engine as Chrome) will take 5. And don't get me started on its forced upgrade behavior. If I want to upgrade the software, I'll update it! Don't download stuff without my immediate approval!
- Mark Trapp
are you running the 3.1 beta? it's a lot snappier for me (though it does choke on some things, like seesmic vids for some reason).
- Trent Olson
I'm on 3.0.3, other versions crash. OS X
- Mona Nomura
I don't get crashes in the FF beta on OSX , but Glue and some Greasemonkey scripts aren't playing nicely and my cookies seem to delete all the time.
- Neal Jansons
I'm using three browsers right now. Firefox, Safari, and nightly build (well, more like monthly build). Certain sites crashes one browser, other sites don't... it's RIDICULOUS. I almost installed Minefield but didn't want to deal with the headache.
- Mona Nomura
Through all of this, I'm still using K-Meleon. There are a few things that are faster in Chrome but for most websites, it doesn't matter that much.
- Morton Fox
Minefield just wasn't any faster for me. Safari is fast as hell, but no plugins. I live in FF, though I keep trying Flock every update to see if I like it yet. I haven't had any issues with sites crashing any browsers though. Did you try repairing permissions, etc, Mona?
- Neal Jansons
@Mark-- Check Tools > Options > Advanced > Update > Ask me what I want to do. @Neal-- I'm having the same problem with disappearing cookies. It's becoming a real pain in the neck...
- Ray Metzen
I tweaked everything, regularly clear out my cache, took out all the extensions.. the problem is w/ script overload + Java / flash picture uploaders. Only works with Safari LOL
- Mona Nomura
I've never left Firefox. I have Chrome installed but never as default.
- Ian May
I love how fast Chrome is, but I've noticed some very strange behaviors with it. Though, I'm glad it's playing nice with facebook now. I love Firefox and the betas are great except the don't support most of the extensions I use. Bummer. I try to alternate whether I use Chrome of Firefox as my default browser, just to see what works best.
- Mattie Kenny
I went back to Firefox almost immediately because of some slight speed hitches in Chrome, but ever since Chrome's new version came out a few days ago those went away, and I've been happy.
- Mark Radigan
Same here, I love the plugins plus I have had too many issues with Flash on Chrome. Firefox, and Flock Rock! Given time, I might check out Chrome again.
- Comickey
I just started dabbling in Chrome. Very nice but still a Firefox user 90% of the time.
- Mike Reynolds
great, politics meets tech meets the Alaskan bush :?
- Comickey
Fey and Palin are already set for life ... regardless. This isn't going away
- Charlie Anzman
how would she have time to do a TV show? Does she plan to move from Alaska?
- Phillip Jeffrey
I dunno, if SNL last night was any indication, it would be awkward and just bad. So very, very bad, don'cha know.
- jbean
The Palins. Watch them shoot wolves from a plane, speak in tongues, and bust meth labs.
- Rodfather
Yea absolutely, her presence was amazing! Too bad she's on the wrong team. It looked like she was crying inside though. I can't imagine doing what she did.
- E.B.
Are you kidding me? She was HORRIBLE. She didn't do ANYTHING!!!

Sarah Palin: Avoid The Press, each and every Sunday Morning, you guess the station/network, she's not going to tell you

I'm not sure if the world is ready for a host with that accent. I do like her politics, though. I thought her selection was definitely responsible for getting McCain a chance in the race.

I can totally see that, she and John loose in November, she returns to Alaska, Fox puts her under contract to show America how government works, reality TV style.
