"Actually Apple did offer T-mobile the iPhone. They said unless the 5 is displayed overlaying the home screen they didn't want it. Which really underscores just how stupid tmobile has gotten. They were the first big US carrier (back when they were called "VoiceStream". They had it all and then let it die away due to countless stupid moves. Now they're ripe for a buyout I'd say. Hmm Apple does have all those billions in cash gathering interest. Maybe they should buy tmobile and make it Apple Mobile (then we can just pay our bills via itunes).
