You're strategy for ignoring them is the best you can do, but those people just aren't worthy putting the type of energy necessary into getting angry with them. I've noticed it more and more that people are becoming abusive on the web (in chat rooms, in comments on blogs...including TechCrunch), it's ridiculous and I'm glad to see people are trying to take a stand against it.
