Это, видимо, решение более общей проблемы информационного перенасыщения, и как следствие - увеличения шума и трате излишнего времени на фильтрацию. В принципе для меня сейчас фрф и контроллируемые подписки в гуглридере - самое лучшее решение. Я не думаю что настраиваемый фильтр спасет ситуацию, фрф уже гораздо дальше ушел - в сторону доверия своим контактам и делегирования им функции фильтрации. Если попробовать это классифицировать - то человек здесь каждый раз из разных позиций действует, например, из профессиональной (кодовое название maieutic), из чувственной (jinger), из ироничной (tobe) etc etc, и какие-то для тебя скорее сигнал, а какие-то шум. Also, Africa had this "misfortune" of being on top of all kinds of natural resources which became valued at one point or another. As it said in Blood Diamonds, "every time a precious resource is found on this continent,innocent people die, country is plundered." Pouring money only to sustain lives without any solid self-sustainable policies in education or infrastructure is sort of a band-aid. Simplifying it a bit, I think what makes africa different is centuries of being messed about. Europe and the US (and nowadays china perhaps) were never shy creating wars and toppling governments to make sure they could get their hands on resources. Fan the fires, keep things unstable... They only intervened when things got so badly nobody could exploit things. And in more subtler ways, it is still going on. If it ever recovers, Africa could rule the world (not that there is "africa", mind, but you get the meaning). The combination of natural resources and the sheer resilience and resourcefulness of the people (forget the lazy african cliche, africa today is where people figure out how to do things without any schooling or resources, and still manage.) - Joelle Nebbe

I'm not an Africa expert, but I read what I come across, I have friends that live there, and it's pretty clear that Africa's problems stem from very old and very bad habits that defeat self-government at so many turns. Corruption, paranoia, taboos, and Big Man worship knock back everything from sex education to women's rights to development of small businesses. "Fan the fires, keep things unstable" may function in some regions, but it could stop tomorrow, and things would still languish. They need a paradigm-shifting visionary and group of leaders who don't have a "western taint" but can answer the continent's desperate need for direction and sound judgement. An interesting experience, to have typing and the other party reading be simultaneous... it removes the safety buffer of having to hit return, and has a different feel to it.
