- Pentaxfan
Friend feed seems like mainstream to most serious ones?
- jibzy
Friendfeed has it's strengths once you get it setup
- Chris
@robert whether or not FF is technically better than <insertsocialnetwork> its really a question of said network reach
- Sean Scott
Once a week I go through my followers and delete most/all of the spammers, but I only have like 50-60 so it's not hard to do.
- Allison Warnock
Let's hope the spammers and bots and etc don't attack us here on FriendFeed next. I won't tell them if you don't.
- Louis Trapani
from iPhone
Sean: well, FF has better search, grouping, real time, a better community, and more.
- Robert Scoble
I think you're already following me.
- Danny Minick
In two years on Twitter I have never used any bots nor even tried to sell anything. I always look at profiles personally before following anyone and have never been concerned with how many are following me.
- Gord Young
See, cross posting that offer to Twitter is misleading
- Kevin Krewell
It is fun to watch my follower ## on Twitter go between 200 and 230 it is a constant battle to see what I post. Just not that interesting at times!
- Pentaxfan
Interesting project! Please follow us @streamfile :)
- Kimmo Gläborg
Checking in here...hope we continue to follow each other, Robert!
- Cathryn Hrudicka

- Keith Rowland
...only if you actually find my tweets interesting enough.
- Gurpreet
It's Unfollow Sunday. Just purged all the bots, spammers, SEO/social media types from my own Twitter account. I never autofollow. Still got the "high five" DM spam, though...
- Dennis Jernberg
Nice when you integrate Facebook and twitter and multiple accounts so you can read all at one place. I have to say I use Seesmic to read posts more than FF.
- Pentaxfan
bit bucket... here i come :) ps: scoble, what if we just "like" your post ;)
- simran
@pentaxfan of course. not wanting to start a FF vs Twitter debate. just saying the glasses through which we judge better or superior are diff based on our interests. Plus in the end FB will take it all :P
- Sean Scott
This is a sly way to get us to sign up for FF :)
- valb00
According to my following list, Scoble was the second person I followed after joining Twitter. A long time ago that was.
- Stephen Sclafani
UX tip for FF. Be nice to be able to click on the comment link at the end of a comment stream. Having to scroll back up on these long threads breaks flow.
- Sean Scott
Kimber: wait and watch http://friendfeed.com/scoblei... and see if I like any of your posts. I read a LOT and if you are posting interesting stuff I'll probably like it.
- Robert Scoble
Sean: click twice on the time stamp and you'll get a window of just this chat and you'll see a comment entry area at the bottom.
- Robert Scoble
Sean Scott: Click on the timeline (the '5 minutes ago' bit) :)
- 1x29
You will end up following me anyway. They all will. :)
- Matt G
But you're already following me here on Friendfeed, Robert. How is Twitter going to be different?
- Mahendra (SkepticGeek)
FriendFeed is better, deeper, yet Twitter works better on the go
- Majento
There's a lot to like about FF, except it needs a bigger community. Twitter is like the iPhone - for iPhone it's all the applications, with Twitter (and Facebook) it's all about the number of poeple.
- Kevin Krewell
@Sean, that is why we are always looking for new and improved apps to operate at a better level with more consistency. Take it easy! I'm off to bed for my 5 hours of mediocre horizontal time out.
- Pentaxfan
Hi Robert, you are obviously going to be following a lot more people. Thanks.
- Rob Zachritz
And I return. (Just cleared my account so I can start afresh with friend lists) :)
- BeauGiles
Robert, you have lost a lot of followers. I have been watching all night.

TheHenry: and I will lose even more this week. No biggie. I don't define myself by who follows me, especially if they are there just to get a follow back.
- Robert Scoble
We're already facebook friends. And I think friendfeed friends too. But FF just hasn't hit critical mass yet. It'll be cool when it does. Nice job throwing another rock at the hornet's nest! :-)
- Dan Becker
Rory: the catch is I might like one of your posts and then you'll have to deal with my other friends. :-)
- Robert Scoble
I'm glad to know that you are still interested in hearing from us :), I'm @tsudo

Robin: I have only seen a handful of spams here. They are easily blocked and there are other defenses against them that I won't talk about here.
- Robert Scoble
Are we not allowed to comment if you are already following us?
- RobinDotNet
Are all those SEO types you're unfollowing now following me?!
- Dennis Jernberg
Thing I don't like is that FF doesn't have a very good topic when the primary line is directed at twitter. There may or may not be a link to something after FF part. Which means FF becomes a bit of a treasure hunt. I like FF for commentary but I hate the initial post.
- Justin Howard
Robert: Thanks mate, interesting and probably efficient idea. I'll do the same for quality content, tired of those "I just used whateveryoucallit.com to gain 300 new followers right now!".

Hi Robert, I had to do the exact same thing to nail all the twit spam I was getting. Hope you get it all sorted!
- James Brown
Even as we sit here, my iPhone dings with new follow e-mails from spam/marketing people. Sigh.
- RobinDotNet
Stephane: LOL, probably. I took this line from Chris Brogan's "Twitter Etiquette Guide".
- Nir Ben Yona
The joys of not being internet famous means I can check out followers personally, block where required and I've only ever got about 2 DM spam. But with the volumes that Robert gets, it's obviously not possible.
- Rachel Clarke
TwitterEtiquetteGuide.com is available ;-)
- Stephane Tsacas
I think Twitter needs something like captcha to keep the bots to a minimum, IMHO.
- Dennis Jernberg
Robert -- yes, on twitter. It seems the more you tweet, and the more people you communicate with, the more spammers follow you. Hoping for auto-follows I guess (I disappoint them in that regard.)
- RobinDotNet
No offense, but what is the utility of being "followed" by someone who already follows tens of thousands?
- Derek Pangallo
Good way to filter, you know the spammers don't actually read anything or participate
- Justin Luey
What is the utility of being "followed" by someone who doesn't tweet and who follows thousands? What do they do, sit at their terminal and watch the tweets go by all day long?

- Aaman (Clone of FF)
Rachel -- But numbers alone don't mean anything. Are they that shallow? That must be a stupid question.
- RobinDotNet
Is this going to be the 'most-commented-ever' post on Friendfeed? 240+ already!

Aaman: FriendFeed is FAR more defendable against spam than Twitter is.
- Robert Scoble

- Seyfi Erol
That seems like a good idea, but I think you're already following a lot of these people
- Carlton Prest
Seyfi: why don't you follow me and see how it goes?
- Robert Scoble
I've gotten 4 follow e-mails since my first post here from people I don't want to follow. Do the bots start running right around midnight?
- RobinDotNet
Mahendra, you're not following the threads in Russian (that's my only hint) :D
- Micah Wittman
Robin: oh yes. But I'm never sure what's worse. the people who just want to talk about the numbers or the people they may be able to impress.
- Rachel Clarke
Aaman - Friendfeed doesn't make link-tracking easy, so it's less interesting for spammers to infest.
- Mahendra (SkepticGeek)
Is this a test of interaction or more likely a sort of audience verification?
- Gilgamesh
Gilgamesh: it is what you want it to be. For me I followed you.
- Robert Scoble
If twitter is noise, and FriendFeed is conversation, Robert Scoble followers are their own discussion. It's like using an entirely different website.
- Carlton Prest
Rachel, that's a good point. Is Facebook the same way? I joined that and suddenly got all these people I've nothing in common with who want to be my friend. Creepy.
- RobinDotNet

- Derek Pangallo
Derek: heh, yeah, I am watching this, among other things running across my screen.

- Rachel Clarke
Robin: you mean like people you went to high school with and didnt' like adding you on FB
- Derek Pangallo
I already do. what i mean is if we don't keep FF, Twitter limited to our interests, wouldn't it be garbage we already try hard to get rid of. Or how far can we extend our interests in life or amount of information we consume?
- Seyfi Erol

Why are you doing this? You have one of the best listening audiences on twitter! Is there a point to prove that we will post here or go to wefollow?
- David Cole
David: and I can prove that. Twitter's audience has become less and less engaged lately.
- Robert Scoble
Wow, powerful shift by Robert Scoble, I'm really interested in seeing how this works for you Scoble. I slept through all the big news here tonight.
- Jimminy Fuller

- Menno te Koppele
Plus, David, if you all are listening, you are listening because of my ability to find cool stuff. Mostly that's been because of FriendFeed over the past 18 months. Now I've seen how ascerbic Twitter's spammers have gotten on my accounts.
- Robert Scoble
Interesting. This is going to boost 1000 egos for sure :-)
- Freddie Benjamin
So will it be a matter of just trying to say ahead of the spammers by jumping from one early adopted social network to another?
- JP Holecka - Jaypiddy
JP: no. I am not leaving Twitter. I AM, however, deleting all their accounts so I will no longer be passing them juice.

- RobinDotNet
Lise: I see you a few times a day, but you're right. Heheh.
- Robert Scoble

Do you ever worry about SM burnout Robert? How do you pace your self?
- JP Holecka - Jaypiddy
Interesting to note many of most commented threads are in languages other than English. Can we suggest FF has a better international appeal than Twitter?
- Kaan Bingol
Good idea, as you say, stop juicing up the spammers - it'll be interesting to see the stats once you've finished.
- Andrew Piggott
Dean: your Tweets aren't spam. I might keep you. Heheh.
- Robert Scoble
I only followed people who were interesting to me, otherwise it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack of brain dumps.

Exactly. So I expect to be cut. And considering I'm in a crowd of close to 60k, it'll be the same thing.
- Lise
There should be a counter in front of the comments...
- Willem Karssenberg
Lise: and because FriendFeed's search engine is better here too.

Robert, yeah I know. Thought you might have meant for your secretscoble twitter account ;)
- Travis Koger
It's kind of like a giant SM break up Robert. *Oh the hearts you are breaking...*
- JP Holecka - Jaypiddy
I'm fairly selective about who I follow and I follow so maybe you will follow me back!
- Richard Cunningham
from iPod
Robert, care to explain how you use groups in this kind of context? Because I don't get the point of following people who are then placed into a "I don't read this much" kind of group. How do you use groups so that you're (1) not overwhealmed, and (2) actually read what people are saying?
- Ian Betteridge
How many people do you expect to end up with, Robert? What is a reasonable number?
- Lise
You don't have to follow me on Twitter. I think the FriendFeed party palace is mighty fine.
- Josette Torres
from fftogo
(Not that I'll probably see your response, btw - something at the bottom of 350+ responses is effectively buried until FF has better threading tools. Which I'm sure it will, some day.)
- Ian Betteridge
@Daniel - ditto, and for me it is generally development related also. Robert - I know you have to try and keep up with everything going on in the social media space, but I'm always surprised when people follow so many others as it must be extremely difficult to find the wheat in amongst all the chaff.
- Donald Matheson
Robert: I did not know about that search trick. Thanks!
- Menno te Koppele
Ian: a "I don't read this much" kind of group is awesome for serrendipity. Also, anyone who I find there who is high value gets quickly moved to a smaller group.
- Robert Scoble
What? Are you saying you're not following me already...? ;-)
- Jarno Peschier
Lise: on Twitter? Less than 2,000. I can't follow more.
- Robert Scoble
Jamo: I am already following you. Scott: why not? I am already following you too.
- Robert Scoble
Robert, it might be a problem for me re-gaining your following as my tweets are not 100% English only (whether that means trying to speak English or no English at all ;). How do you deal with occasional non-English tweeters? As that's clearly a noise for you.
- Tibor Holoda
if only twitter were as engaging as FriendFeed has become, and as instantaneous as things like this comment thread, then maybe I would use it more. Hence why I'm all for unfollowing who you conceive as uninteresting; and if that includes me, then so be it!
- Nick Soden
Tibor: I just skip over most of them. Sometimes I translate them to see if I was right.
- Robert Scoble
It is my hope that I provide you with something as interesting as what you provide me with. Either way, I will continue to peruse your posts with interest.

Everyone that "follows" you really does know you love FF. So did you build a tool to follow everyone back that comments on here or are you seriously going to manually follow people back?

Hi, you are already following me. My solution to get rid of spammers on Twitter is to block them, that is what I do. If everyone started blocking them, I think things would improve
- Asgeir
What about the SEO experts who accidentally find this feed?
- phil baumann
Robert, but you're following commenters here, not on Twitter, right? Not that i care about Twitter that much, as for me it's just a pipeline. FF and FB are conversational platforms for me, or the places i hang out these days.
- Tibor Holoda
Aaman: Sleep? some of us are just starting the day. We're waiting for the US to go to sleep so we can talk about you ;-)

Spammers being blocked doesnt do anything as they are hoping for that 1 in 100 hit of someone clicking that link, eventually they get banned and create a new account.
- Charlieray
the term SEO expert is a crock of shit
- Charlieray
Marko: not true. It's better because it has very little spam. It's better because it has a better search engine. It's better because it has comments and likes. It's better because it's an aggregator. And more.

I think it's a hoot. Now I'm wondering whether to reverse my recent move towards following more, not less. I do believe that from my experience so far FF is more attuned to building/maintaining community than is Twitter.
- Des Walsh
Des: on FriendFeed you can do both strategies at the same time. You can follow a lot more in one list while following even fewer in another.
- Robert Scoble
Des - Once more people re-engage in the conversation here, they'll realize the continuing outright potential of Friendfeed. I still some here before I read my e-mail
- Charlie Anzman

Good to hear! I have only ~2000 followers, but I can't follow more at the moment due to Twitter's follow limit rule.
- Martin Lindeskog
Great way to test the chemistry between FF and Twitter. I like it.
- E-Advocate Network
Robert - I'am definitely not a spammer when it comes to broadcasting anything to people, who doesn't want to hear it :) but I do sometimes respond (mostly on twitter so @reply) to some tweets not aimed on me, but that's what everybody actually asks for when publicly broadcasting anything.
- Dušan Šimonovič
Shhh...don't tell anyone but I'm neither of those (the spammers, SEO experts, the bots, or the social media experts,) though, I like the heck out of the concept of this thread...
- Vincent Wright
Good idea about the unfollow. It was an interesting experiment whilst it lasted but given your lifestyle I'm sure most Twitter messages just passed you by. I never DM'd you however, it was nice to think that I had the option if I wanted to. Anyway I've been on FF for ages now, and what I need is a good FF app (for pc), any ideas anyone?
- Nick Bristow
Nick: I just use a browser with FriendFeed.
- Robert Scoble
Only 530 comments so far? Come on people you are not even trying.
- John Cooper
@Rob Sellen, did you see the comments on the most recent ffundercats podcast entry. http://friendfeed.com/ffunder... Over 1000 in a very short period of time. Although I expect that this post will also get up to those levels.
- Travis Koger
NOTICE: I am closing comments here because I gotta get some sleep. I'll consider doing this again sometime. Sorry if you didn't get in, but see you tomorrow night.
- Robert Scoble
A healthy debate is one thing, but a pointless bicker over untrue statements is another. This is how they turn into flame wars and personal attacks.
- Bwana ☠
So PS3'ers, stop dwelling on red ring of death... it's no longer true. 360'ers, stop saying PSN lags.. it doesn't. Research the competition before jumping in the debate
- Bwana ☠
RRODs aren't a problem but heat and noise still are. The PS3 is far quieter.
- nick
Sony Home sucks compared to Xbox Live.
- Alex Scoble
Didn't David Cook's 360 go down with the RROD a few months back? For like the 3rd time?
- ronin
Bwana means that RROD is no longer a problem for the newer builds. For the original hardware it's still an issue.
- Alex Scoble
Exactly, and a lot of PS3 enthusiasts don't know that. Then words like "stupid" and "idiot" come out and you got yourself a full fledged pointless debate
- Bwana ☠
All I know is I don't feel like paying $$ for online, no matter how much better it is on the 360. PSN's good enough for me.
- Kirk R. Arner
This probably isn't the right thread to mention that I prefer WoW on a $600 laptop.
- Daniel J. Pritchett
One thing I find disappointing is the introduction of auto-playing, audio-visual ADS on Xbox Live, a service I already PAY for. Why, Microsoft, why?
- jeffscott
Both consoles have their strong and weak points, but the fact is the PS3 has more powerful hardware. In my opinion: 360 is now, PS3 is the future. The PS3 just has more potential.
- Bob Roche
the PS3 has claimed it "has more potential" since it launched. It doesn't.
- Richard Lawler
+++++Jeffscott. I was VERY pissed playing 1 vs. 100 yesterday to see ads. If I'm paying for this gold membership, I shouldn't be force-fed ads. Need Ad-block Plus for the Xbox now. ;)
- Admiral Anika
What console would you suggest for new buyers? It looks like the XBox has better and more titles. Is this true? (I am a PS3 owner)
- Kamath (नमः)
You've gotta be kidding me. The game 1vs100 doesn't cost anything, why are ads suddenly a terrible thing? You get commercial breaks on cable TV, do you cancel? If the game is no extra cost, I have absolutely no problem with the ads. Walk away and do something else for 30 second, or better yet, don't play, if they're such a problem. The ads jeffscott is talking about are completely different, they're within the menu and I've never seen one on mine so far, only in that youtube video.
- Richard Lawler
The PS3 has built-in wi-fi. The 360 still doesn't.
- nick
@Kamath I think for the most part the same games reach both systems. Besides the console-specific ones like Halo, GoW, Resistance, Killzone, etc.
- ronin
The 360 has an external HD-DVD option! Woot!
- ronin
@ronin, isn't HD-DVD defunct and gone the way of the betamax? The PS3 has Bluray (the discs themselves are way overpriced right now)
- Kamath (नमः)
The HD-DVD actually works as a pretty good upscalling DVD player. Quieter than the regular tray. (Yes I chose...poorly)
- Andrew Smith
For me it comes down to Halo vs. Blu-ray
- Andrew Smith
@Kamath Yeah I know, I was being snarky. =) But to answer your original question, I'd have to give the nod to the 360. It has better online features and is cheaper. If you really have to have Bluray and don't care as much about online stuff, then obviously the PS3.
- ronin
I often times forget that my 360 elite even plays games. I think I have spent a combined total of maybe 2-3 hours actually playing games on my 360. I just use it as a media center for my living room.
- Nicholas Kreidberg
I can't speak on XBox, but I love my PS3. it has the games that I like to play, plus Bluray (which is why I haven't bought a player yet), wifi and it connects to my media server so I can watch movies over the network.
- jbrotherlove
As someone that owns both of these counsels, the Xbox 360 beats the PS3 in two of the most important areas. Games titles and its ability to connect you with your friends. The value added when playing a game with your friends while blowing off steam about the retards @ work as I thrust my chain saw laced assault rifle thru some trash-talking 12 year old is strangely gratifying. While the...

It totally depends on what you want out of a game system. We have both, but we spend much more time on the Xbox 360, in fact we have two of them if that tells you anything. Why? More games, easier to interact with people online (not that we do that a lot), more usable interface when not in a game, achievement. I admit to being a achievement whore and while PS3 has something like it the...

If you game a lot, you probably already have a 360. If you game a little, get a PS3. If you don't game at all, get a Wii.
- Rob Haas
I want to eventually grab a PS3. I'd like to try Home, Flower, Metal Gear, and some others.
- Rodfather
Nicely put, Robert. Made me chuckle...
- Cory Brown
Ah, but shades of past failures always haunt the hallowed halls of fresh corrections! I do agree with you that research prior to comment is good. But human nature seems to trend towards what I call the lemon syndrome. Once you have had a lemon, every time you see, touch, smell, or taste anything resembling a lemon your mind instantly recalls the previous experience of sucking on the...

"Ps3 has more potential" - you sure about that? John Carmack: ""The RSX is slower than what we have in the 360. The CPU is about the same, but the 360 makes it easier to split things off, and that's what a lot of the work has been, splitting it all into jobs on the PS3," http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article...

It appears that P2P will finally get the "Kick Me" sign off its back. They will now target based on bandwidth usage. "...when a subscriber uses an average of 70 percent or more of his or her provisioned upstream or downstream bandwidth over a particular 15-minute period, that user will be in an Extended High Consumption State" only if the node they share, with other subscribers, is also experiencing high consumption. Your packets then get a assigned a downgraded priority level. "Typically, a user whose traffic is in a BE state during actual congestion may find that a webpage loads sluggishly, a peer-to-peer upload takes somewhat longer to complete, or a VoIP call sounds choppy.” Servers will also be used to monitor traffic. Can we expect a bandwidth usage monitor app? Can we be notified when our packets are downgraded?

"according to Add Health data, evangelical teen-agers are more sexually active than Mormons, mainline Protestants, and Jews. On average, white evangelical Protestants make their “sexual début”—to use the festive term of social-science researchers—shortly after turning sixteen. Another key difference in behavior, Regnerus reports, is that evangelical Protestant teen-agers are significantly less likely than other groups to use contraception."
- Leo Laporte
from Bookmarklet
Reminds me of that Harvey Danger song that says "been around the world and found that only stupid people are breeding".
- Will Higgins™
It would be interesting to run another poll on those stats of how many of those teens that experimented wish they had known about contraception and how it would have helped protect them.
- Bryan
"Just say no" is tough stuff, especially when you aren't helped with alternatives.
- Ladybug Heather
I have never been a fan of Abstinence only sex education.
- Cory Brown
If you are voting on experience your Obama rose-colored glasses must be on full BLIND mode if you want to play the experience issue. Go ahead and walk into that Republican trap--that's a debate the GOP would love to have.
- Andrew Leyden
Yes I can see it, she's done some great things as a governor, which is always better experience than being in the Senate.
- Zach Underwood
I agree, if you look at her track record she is a better choice for chief executive. . .
- Greer Trice
She supports creationism - unbelievable
- Dave Hodson
I can't imagine a luddite leading the US in the 21st century.
- Tad
I thought it was a clever move when I heard the news. But now that I heard her speak, I am not so sure.
- Dorai
She is very beautiful...maybe too beautiful?
- Cory Brown
Change? A person who's been in the senate longer than John McCain, or a person who's actually made changes as Governor?
- Richard
I'd love to have a beautiful president! One who was also a champion for progress, science and technology.
- Tad
@Richard but the change won't come from the VP seat...
- Sidney
Was she Miss Alaska or something one time? As a woman, I want someone who is smart, articulate and understands science and technology, not pretty looking. Puh-leaze!
- Sally Church
Michele Obama will bring some hotness to the White House.
- Rod Bauer
from twhirl
@aka Taylor I agree with your statement, but the democrats made such a big deal about VP Cheney, they can't go back now and say the VP seat is no big deal.
- Richard
Andrew: you want a trap? Wait for the Biden-Palin debate. Ouch.
- Rod Bauer
from twhirl
Wow, have you seen the aftermath of the DNC in Denver? All the trash left behind by the environmentally friendly party?
- Richard
Pro-life. Creationist. McCain does love the right wing.
- Russellreno
I saw his buyer's remorse screaming:)
- Roney Smith
@Richard the point being the direction of the administration comes from the President not the VP. The VP can lend experience and does play a major role in the administration but to say the VP is going to make the change that is needed when the Presidential canidate is the farthest thing from change is pretty rose colored glasses..
- Sidney
He did look uncomfortable about it. I thought it was just me
- Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
Just a factual question--at about what point did he look uncomfortable (I was listening not watching and want to see for myself). Kind of curious now.
- Andrew Leyden
How does McCain differentiate himself from Bush and the last 8 years of misery to dissaffected moderates now?
- Sally Church
@Rod Bauer Good point. The trap is also for Biden. He has more to lose, especially if he puts his foot in his mouth.
- Andrew Leyden
Leo - There's nothing left to talk about. McCain has hit a home run and just sewed up the HRC voters that BO took a crap on by not even vetting her. Just out of spite, McCain just got a large number of HRC supporters on board who are resentful of BO.
- Alberto Lopez
As my friend said, Palin might get the Hillary women who read Redbook and watch HGTV, but the Ms. readers might not jump ship. Wonder if that will be enough?
- Andrew Leyden
McCain didn't add any HRC supporters who can think for themselves.
- Tad
So when we hit reply by twitter it goes to Leo or the person who had a twitter in the comment? Sorry to pound Leo's twitter account if the first is what happens.
- Andrew Leyden
Tad++, he just got the irrational ones who would probably vote against Obama anyway because they are bitter about HRC being out of it.
- Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
Jake and Tad, I wouldn't underestimate the power of this. I know three pretty intelligent age-50+ women who have a smidge of misplaced feminism that forces them to consistently make choices based on gender over issue (and openly lambaste younger women who don't automatically side with women on the issue of the day). All backed Hill and are tepid to Obama, and I can see all three of them having an extremely hard time voting AGAINST a woman in November out of some kinda feminist guilt.
- Kevin Hessel
My first thought upon hearing: Who the fuck is she? And second thought: He really doesn't think he's going to win, does he?
- Rick Powell
@Andrew - A friend mentioned just that thing this morning.

An unknown, inexperienced "hockey mom"? Yeah, that's what we need.
- Todd
the dems could not have asked for a better gift than palin, talk about lobbing a softball
- adolfo foronda
i had no idea how diverse the twit army was. there really are a couple twits here.
- todd
People are underestimating Gov. Palin. Also, for a party that is looking for change and a fresh voice in Washington, how easily they write off what will be a fresh voice in Washington.
- Jim Bednarz
Sorry, but this choice is only about marketing. It's not about governing. (I stole that.)
- Rick Powell
“Leo, How would I properly Lisens the twit logo I drew up in vecter format for you on wikipedia...is there anyway I say that it is copyrighted for you by me or something like that. if not I understand. I am just trying to put that tracing of your logo for my portfolio for college.” - http://friendfeed.com/e...
Matt, I would first invest in a dictionary or spell checker. I think you'll have trouble getting people to take you seriously with all these spelling errors. Sorry to be so harsh.
- Cory Brown
yeah...I am kinda bad at that...thanks for the suggestion
- Matt
What do you mean "sold out"? For how long?
- Peter Ghosh
Peter, what exactly makes you think Leo would know?
- Shmoe
Have the Tricaster folks called yet to say a new one is on the way. This is bad PR for them.
- Alan Ashley
I'm looking into picking up a tricaster for my work. Any advice on the quirks or oddities?
- Mark "Rizzn" Hopkins
Maybe because he's one of the more famous technology authors/broadcasters?
- Peter Ghosh
They sell out really quick when they go in stock. Pretty crazy that they are still in such high demand. We had a shipment of 16 gb iPhones this morning and sold out in minutes.
- Dennis Jackson
You can get them in NZ not a problem just walk into Vodafone because nobody is buying them too expensive
- Nick Brennan
It'll be interesting to hear what Mr. Rose has to say, especially on the subject of a certain rumored acquisition.

In the Northern VA, MD, DC area inventory turnover on these is very high. Two days ago, the largest store in this area (Tysons Corner) was claiming 9 - 10 hour waits.

Got mine yesterday. Ordered over the phone to my AT&T store on Saturday. They said the white models come much quicker than the black models because they're less popular. Dunno why. I think they're cool!
- Paul Reynolds
The Apple folks told me the time the UPS truck came each day. Sure enough 20 minutes after he arrived, I was able to buy one.
- Andrew Leyden
I just ordered a white 16GB from AT&T. Got it 3 days later. Screw standing in line.
- Cory Brown
iPhone line in DC. Did you know taking a picture in this mall is illegal? I almost got iRested
- Cory Brown
We went and ordered one from AT&T. We got an iPhone 3 days later.
- Cory Brown
Malls are private property and so you should always ask permission to take a photo in a mall. Photographers have rights, but so do owners of private businesses.
- kiwinerd
sure they are not talking about gigs per day (using water pipes for bandwidth very clever really)
- Joel Ordesky
Sounds like a leak from the main to the house. Break out the backhoe.
- Dave Rutter
Petslums - iPhone is not Leo-finger friendly
- Marshall Bose
Breaking out the Backhoe sounds a little extreme. Dowse it out with divining rods first Leo !
- David Smith
Check the plastic pipe on the drip irrigation.
- Oldengrey (Jay)
450 gallons a day might lead to a sinkhole. I think it's good they are coming out, but be ready for a trencher or backhoe...
- Andrew Leyden
can't be leak in the main to the house unless the meter is immediately at the feeder. Has to be downstream of the meter for the city to quantify.
- Lee Skarbek
Pretty easy for a family of four to use that much water. My household used 713 gal per day last month! Add 4 showers, many toilet flushes, laundry, dish washing, irrigation of your lawn and vegetable garden if you have them (which is probably half or more of my water usage), and you get to 713 gallons pretty fast. I just paid last months H2O bill and it was $184 !!
- Jeff P. Henderson
Leak in the water cooled ultimate gaming PC? That thing just getting more and more expensive.
