Online Communities Editor at the Conservative Party.
@shamikdas Not sure I agree with you on this #demos / Cowell thing. Reckon @jamescrabtree just asked you to clarify for benefit of audience.
Off home to watch almost-top-of-the-table Dundee United v Rangers rematch. Hope weather is a bit better than last time: http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-ima...
@graemearcher But the whole purpose of the lunch is to convince you to start your own blog! I thought you'd have guessed that by now...
According to my spambox, a formerly trusted colleague (moonlighting?) is now helping us "avoid standard men's troubles at discount prices".
Not sure what this Publicis fuss is all about http://www.youtube.com/watch... (...but if the music's not licensed, Lord Mandelson will NOT be pleased!)

@colmhowardlloyd I just went for the free one that British Gas are dishing out. Free always wins - even over pretty AND geeky.
@paulseaman Thanks. Don't really agree with your post tbh & have always been of the view that people should be allowed to have their say.
@benc4 If you just stop following, the user can still follow your tweets and can send @ replies that will show up on your timeline.
@benc4 Hmm, I've blocked people before - I think if someone is being offensive it's your right. But overuse it and you can look silly.
@brianhoadley Good one from @tom_watson tonight: politicians may be in send mode, but the public are in throw it back in your face mode!
Looks like Being on time for meetings is never going to be my strong point.
Installed a Smart Meter in flat yesterday. Impressed by the tech and ease of use, but scared by how much power is used when cooking beans!
Here's my thought for the day: if you repeatedly claim to be "engaging" online, you probably aren't.
Can anyone else access the "RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE FOR CHRISTMAS NO.1" group on Facebook? Goes straight to the Home page for me.
@studentsoftware Thanks for Q - I have some info here that may be of use to you. DM me your e-mail address and I'll send it over.
An e-mail I've just received suggests my job is as interesting as writing Dr Who novels or being a professional trumpet player. Excellent.
@colmhowardlloyd Haha no, it's actually a bit of a compliment, but I'm putting a sarcastic spin on it...as is my style.
Misleading headline but good post by @Econsultancy on what a Conservative government could mean for web-based business: http://econsultancy.com/blog...
@FireFly74 @simonsanders Thanks. Pretty much the worst usability I've ever seen on a major website.
Umm...is this Number 10 webchat starting anytime soon? It says 11am on the wesbite: http://www.number10.gov.uk/
Cheers to @SamuelCoates for sending me this trailer for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 - excited already! http://www.gametrailers.com/video...
Interesting article by @markhanson on the recent improvement in the UK's left-wing blogosphere: http://www.labourlist.org/are-the...
Off to watch Evgeny Morozov & John Lloyd debate politics / the internet with @tom_watson & Rishi Saha at Demos tonight: http://www.demos.co.uk/events...
RT @davidschneider: Louis would have still put Jedward through rather than the Beatles #xfactor
@dominiccampbell Haha yeah I just couldn't keep it locked up.
Jedward! #xfactor
@hubmum Are you sure that wasn't just #jedward singing?
@Tory_Politico Would depend what it was, really.
@markpack Interesting point re: YouTube comments. I reckon one reason is because, unlike on blogs, chances of interaction with author is low
Can't recommend the http://houseofcomments.co.uk/ podcast enough. Do listen.
