"Get over yourself. Really. A) It's affordable because you're sharing a LOT of resources with other users and because they aren't staffing a 24 hr tech support crew and call center. B) If you HAVE to have 100% uptime, drop a T-1 to your house and run your own servers. Oh wait, that costs money and you're clearly cheap. Nevermind. C) They have reasonable uptime considering the costs. They have BY FAR the best control panel I've ever seen and since I can't be root on all the servers, I need a good control panel. Also, they let you have shell access which the vast vast majority of budget hosting providers don't do. If you're unhappy, cancel your account and go elsewhere. This is not a matter of national interest or concern. They have not singled you out for persecution because you're a member of some oppressed minority.
