All of our news stations have been doing round-the-clock coverage. When they went back to regular programming last night KKTV had amassed more than 130 hours of straight coverage to keep us informed. Facebook pages were monitored continuously and they were right there tweeting with the rest of the city. You really can't beat that kind of coverage.

I'm not sure how they did it. We don't have a big city staff at our local news stations. They are used to doing half hour newscasts.

they did it because they are that good! The main anchors alternated with weekend anchors for 12 hour shifts. Field reporters switched out as needed. It was also nice of sister stations to send out relief reporters and supplies.
