Storm King Imperial Stout, right-side middle row, you won't regret it. Top left, either Dogfish head beers are also a thumb up. Skip the Magic Hat Krazy Kat, as much as I love their beers, it's one of their worst. - cmiper
Also, your specialty brew prices are about 2-3$ cheaper per six-pack than here...dammit! - cmiper

"Sir, You Are Not Allowed To Take Pictures On Muni Property!!"
I'd love to hear how this plays out, if at all. - Brian Johns
“Before I could get the 1st shot off, Fare Inspector #32 started marching towards me, hands in the air, yelling at me to STOP TAKING PICTURES!! So I put down away camera, walked towards him and answered his statement with a question. I asked him if he could cite me the specific Muni code that prohibited a Translink Card carrying passenger from taking pictures of Muni Personal on Muni... more... - Thomas Hawk
ugh...another one?! - JA Castillo
I've sent an email to the PR contact at SF Muni and cc:d their Executive Director asking for a statement from them. I've also asked for the identity of Muni Fare Inspector #32 as well as requested that disciplinary action be taken against this transit cop. We'll see if/how they respond. - Thomas Hawk
Go Thomas go. Internets got yer back. - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
Hang on... a BUS CONDUCTOR treatened to take your camera away? Oh man, I'm glad I live in Africa, over here he would just ge laughed at or ignored. - Andy Kruger
This happened to you or someone else? - Candace
Candace. to my friend Plug1. He's also on FriendFeed here: http://friendfeed.com/plug1 - Thomas Hawk
Maybe we need to start a mailing campaign letting every cop, rent-a-cop and anyone else that should know better that "Photography is Not a Crime!". - Grant Bierman
I feel your pain. I get that since 9/11, security has to be tighter. So much BS. Cops and rentacops really need to lighten up. - Brent - Long Live Rock

When Twitter Met Facebook: The Acquisition Deal That Fail-Whaled | Kara Swisher | BoomTown | AllThingsD
"The $500 million offered was in an all-stock form, said sources on both sides, at the $15 billion valuation that came from the Microsoft investment in the company last October. The Twitter side felt that figure was inflated and the shares should be valued at the lower figures that have also been reported for Facebook’s true valuation, more in the $5 billion range. That would have given the deal a $150 million price tag, which was seen as too low, especially since it was in Facebook stock and not cash. But, said several sources close to Twitter, the primary reason for not selling was because its board simply did not want to yet or perhaps ever." - Paul Buchheit from Bookmarklet
I didn't get this point in the article: "Still, combining the world’s fastest-growing social networking site with what is quickly becoming the best-known microblogging service is actually a natural fit." how is that a natural fit? - Davide D'Incau

Power of the Number One(microblogging). - Igor Poltavskiy
I just don't think it made much sense from a product perspective... Maybe they were interested in the tweeple? - Mathieu Ayel

Worst. Bug. Ever. | Ed Burnette’s Dev Connection | ZDNet.com - http://blogs.zdnet.com/Burnett...
"When the phone booted it started up a command shell as root and sent every keystroke you ever typed on the keyboard from then on to that shell. Thus every word you typed, in addition to going to the foreground application would be silently and invisibly interpreted as a command and executed with superuser privileges. ... Don’t believe me? Save anything you’re working on (this will reboot your phone!), open the keyboard tray on your G1, ignore anything you see on the screen, and type these 8 keystrokes: <return>-r-e-b-o-o-t-<return>. Poof, your phone will reboot. This only works on a real phone, not in the emulator, and only with firmware version 1.0 TC4-RC29 and earlier." - Paul Buchheit from Bookmarklet
OMG. This also works when the phone is locked (of course), which means that, if you see an Android phone laying around, you can do some terrible mischief (possibly involving the rm command). - Tudor Bosman
egnor, plz to push RC30 to my phone, kthx. - Tudor Bosman
Wow. - Jess Lee
"Open the keyboard and type these 5 keystrokes: <return>-c-a-t-<return>. That will cause the phantom shell to not listen to commands any more, at least until the next reboot." Sure, until you type ^C! - Gabe
We're working on it Tudor, we're working on it. - ⓞnor
Google's security kungfu has always been um on the weak side. Some of the bugs in the GSA were truly alarming. - ld
My G1 was finally updated to RC30 this morning. I'm no longer worried about someone doing "rm -rf /" if I leave it laying around... - Tudor Bosman
The console key map doesn't let you enter "-" or "/" anyway. But other things are possible. - ⓞnor
