I want to fill one with raspberry iced tea and just walk down the street sippin' on it. Maybe throw in some overalls for good measure.
- Christopher Harley
I'm with Akiva, though I can't say it's not popular. But ya, damn, a gallon.
- Jason Wehmhoener
Pretty much, yeah. You can use it, and it's not bad, but you're selling your food and tongue short.
- Akiva Moskovitz
I grew up 90 miles from the Gulf coast and I still see plenty of Tabasco here and there. I haven't lived right on the water as a townie though - perhaps I've missed out.
- Daniel J. Pritchett
does tabasco sauce ever spoil? this might not be a bad investment.
- tiffany
For some reason, I really don't like Tabasco. It just tastes like vinegar to me. I will, however, put sriracha on just about anything.
- joey
My favorite Southern hot sauce is probably Red Rooster and/or Crystal's. That stuff is the business. I like sriracha alright, but not more than I do that stuff.
- Derrick
Hah, don't get me wrong; I'm just having a laugh here. I don't have anything against Tabasco and it's certainly prevalent down there. I was just raised on Crystal's and definitely prefer it. Hell, I'll drink Crystal's right from the bottle. (Okay, that's a lie (no it's not))
- Akiva Moskovitz
Melinda's is my favorite. Not super hot for a habanero sauce, but man is it delicious. :)
- mikepk
Red Hot, Ha3rvey? I'm down with that. WHY NO BODY MAKING ME NO CATFISH?
- Derrick
I know a great place for catfish, Derrick, but you'd have to get here first. Seriously: me, you, and an eating trip across the south. I got the time now!
- FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
Dang, Derrick. We totally have to hang out next time I'm out that way. DO YOU GOT ANY BREAM?
- ha3rvey, not a sweetheart
I know what I'm gonna be getting my wife and father for Christmas now. Thanks Derrick!
- Give 'Em DBizness
I use Tapatio and Tabasco and sriracha depending on the meal but almost always use one of them with almost everything. for ejemplo, Tabasco on loco mocos, tapatio on buffalo wings, and sriracha on stir fry.
- Josh Haley

I did that, but I was heading vertical, school had a vaulted ceiling and I went running, stepped on a chair right were it dropped, on impact both shoes fell off, one hit a guy in the face.
- Jimminy
wonder if that kid had aspirations of being a stunt guy... "dignity, always with dignity" ;)
- alphaxion
If I weren't afraid of going right through the wall, I'd probably still try that. I know I would have done that (and did similar things quite often) when I was much younger.
- Curtiss Grymala
This is still superb this morning after. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Defining the line between brave and stupid?
- Eoghann Irving
If I did that, first the wall would collapse, and then the floor. (So, you see, it's not that I *couldn't*... I just choose not to, for the protection of others.)
- Mark "DerBingle" J
You're right. I don't have the guts...and I'm proud of that.
- Tammy Marshall
Matthew is now walking around our living room with my iPhone. Sarah is sleeping. I'm keeping the lights low so the most fun he has is in front of the laptop. It's good training for a future life of digital centricity.
- Louis Gray
And pssttt... Rochelle and Akiva? He's asleep now. Just let him wander around for about 20 minutes and he's sound asleep in his crib. I assume Audrey is sleeping?
- Louis Gray
Hhaahhaa, I like the one with the glasses, he looks just like you
- sofarsoShawn
Wow . . . sound asleep in his crib . . . even all these years later, the phrase sounds like music in my ears. It's not something we EVER experienced. Our Sarah only started going to bed by herself with no stalling, no fuss, no stress long after the crib was gone - say, middle school? So you've got good ones there, Louis. And, Shawn, you're right! Matthew looks JUST like Louis!
- MaryB, BrandingBroadOfFF
I guess someone will have to see to it that he finds some serious headbanger music and a couple friends with some discipline problems - not bad ones - so he gets enough of an edge to get some attention from girls. Or maybe a wardrobe of black t-shirts will be enough.
- MaryB, BrandingBroadOfFF
Considering that these trains are typically less than top notch russian machines it wouldn´t surprise me if something unexpectedly non-aerodynamic stuck out underneath of the trains sometimes which would make the girl just disappear.
- Thomas Bøhm
I feared that comment, zhinzher:) Although I assumed from the title, I would say the same even if it was a Norwegian train. The stupidest place to do this would be in front of magneto trains in Japan though;)
- Thomas Bøhm
These idiots should take a look at ogrish, rotten, or something like that, and then think about it a little bit. You only have 1 life, after it's game over. Dumbs....

Heavy pc and crt, ok, but the subwoofer too? You know how heavy those things are? This would work in space maybe.
- Josh Haley
And I wonder where it's getting powered from. Is there an extension cord behind him, or maybe he's got a generator attached to his feet?
- Costa Walcott
But which way would it point? Or should there be two, one aimed at his face, and one on the visor of his hat, to see what he can see?
- Ladybug Heather
It's a 'Trojan Horse'!! The hollowed out tower contains 8 Macbook Airs, 25 iPhones, a G1™[product placement by Google] and a handful of Newtons - just waiting to be deployed!
- Micah Wittman
There is a distinct lack of cup holder.
- Rochelle
True... where does the Mountain Dew go? Or coffee or Jolt Cola or whatever caffeinated substance he drinks?
- Ladybug Heather
Rochelle: thats what the CD Drive tray is for.
- Roberto Bonini
"Take my site. Take my brand. Take me where I have no friends. I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take friendfeed from me." (I couldn't keep my Firefly quotes to myself, I'd explode.)
- DGentry
Roll call...this can be great if we all participate. Add yourself to this shared map. I created a placemark on the 2 major intersections near where I live.
- Mark Krynsky
Mo, I'm a newb to the shared maps stuff, but I turned on collaboration and allowed anyone to edit the map. There should be an edit button and then you can add a placemark.
- Mark Krynsky
Robert bought me a new house in the northern suburbs.
- Andrew Trinh
@Bec...nice. You are the first brave female on here.
- Mark Krynsky
Cool idea, Mark! I was thinking something like this would be fun the other day. Duly added myself - or at least the nearest big intersection. ;)
- Jandy, ConcertMaven of FF
Mousing over the usernames shows your Google profile info...cool.
- Mark Krynsky
I marked a bus stop near my house. But not TOO near. :)
- Nine
If you haven't yet...go add FriendFeed to your Google Profile...it will then auto-discover and allow you to add a ton of other profiles you have.
- Mark Krynsky
Thanks guys. This is coming along nicely. It's great to have as a resource to see where everyone is from. Hopefully this can become a standard feature on FF one day.
- Mark Krynsky
Canterbury, Melbourne, Victoria added
- Duncan Riley
Current count: 13 US, 11 Europe, 3 Australia, 1 Middle East. Happy to see many others add themselves overnight. Hoping more will continue this.
- Mark Krynsky
Hey Robert Haas - We're apparently neighbors. - edit. Okay maybe not, unless you live at the airport. XD
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
I've read the instruction and still don't see the button thing to add myself. I'm feeling pretty stupid right now.
-
@Jill, make sure you are logged into your Google account and then click on the edit button above the list of names already on the map. You will then see the pushpin in the upper left hand side of the map.
- Mark Krynsky
Added. Seems like there are a lot of us in the Bay Area...we must do a get together at some point.
- Neal Jansons
@Neal yea, we really need a FriendFeed meetup. I might be up there for Web 2.0 in March...or we can have one at SXSW if a large number of us are going. Let's plan and get the Upcoming page going.
- Mark Krynsky
@Mark Not gonna make SXSW, but am definitely down for working on an FF get together. March is long enough away to make sure plenty of people have time to plan ahead. I added you on Upcoming so we can start coordinating it. Anyone else interested/want to help set this up?
- Neal Jansons
Maybe we can talk Paul & Bret into letting us invade the FF offices for a meetup in conjunction with Web 2.0? That would be sooooo cool!
- Mark Krynsky
Oooh, now that's a really great idea.
- Neal Jansons
Pinned! sheesh this just cost me 1/2 hour of time as I scrolled thru all the folks :)
- bear (aka Mike Taylor)
Except for Bret, there are no FriendFeeders on the penninsula between San Jose and San Francisco. So much for Silicon Valley early adopters.
- Ryan Kuder
Cluelessness alert! I'm not seeing how to add my pushpin!
- Hutch Carpenter
For some reason whenever i use google maps in creation-mode, it defaults to some other maps I've used, not the one I'm trying to access - ah, figured it out. Had to de-activate some other collaborative maps
- anna sauce
Added. What a great way to see who's on FF in Austin, TX!
- Carter Rabasa
Nice! I'm the only active FriendFeeder in Montreal: Quebec represents FF! I could be a French Canadian FF ambassador or something. =)
- ElijahBailey-Zu of FF <0,
First day huh? Just be sure your tubes don't get clogged! If you have any questions regarding the internet just google "Ted Stevens"
- Nicholas Kreidberg
LET's clear the air with the A-BOOT/BOAT confusion. It's neither!! It's all ab[əʊ̯]t "Canadian Rising" (no, not a rising up to trash the White House —again): "As [əʊ] is an allophone of /oʊ/ (as in "road") in many other dialects, the Canadian pronunciation of "about the house" may sound like "a boat the hoce" to non-Canadians. Some stand-up and situation comedians exaggerate this to "oot and aboot" for comic effect" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... Wikipedia said it, SO it's true, end of story.
- Micah Wittman
I dunno. Some of my pals from British Columbia say A-BOOT all the time.
- Steven Perez
Conception/categorization of oral language is learned (here I go gettin' all quasi-academic). The sound waves + your brain's interpretation produce the perception (tonal languages, such as most Chinese dialects, are difficult for Western learners because certain vocalized sounds were never learned and thus one requires much exposure to them just to recognize/differentiate). Granted, and I also know a lot of British Columbians - was one myself, the boat/boot blend varies. It's all good!
- Micah Wittman
Micah, get out of my dreams and into my car.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Akiva - you just dialed in the nuk-u-lar codes to the new warhead of the next Rickroll. Sweet!
- Micah Wittman
—Back to my regularly scheduled droning on... I totally recommend the following Radiolab podcast http://www.wnyc.org/shows... Teaser: "For those of us who have trouble staying in tune when we sing, Deutsch has some exciting news. The problem might not be your ears, but your language. She tells us about tone languages, such as Mandarin and Vietnamese, which rely on pitch to convey the meaning of a word."

guess what Matt? the internet has lots and lots of free pictures of naked women. it's what makes technology advance at such a rapid pace. people want things faster, bigger, longer and clearer, and that's just talking about their private parts. they want the naked lady pics that way too!

Hmm.. well, usually around November I think. It depends really :) This time I just was surprised cause somehow I haven't enjoyed the fall enough yet.
- Nia
Hopefully it will warm up again so you can take advantage of it:)
- Michael Fidler
*grin* .. it's ok. I like really all the 4 seasons in Finland. They all have the good and the bad parts. Just needs to think positive.
- Nia
Um, sorry, Nia. I ordered the snow for Texas, but somehow it ended up in Finland. CURSE YOU, DHL!!!
- Steven Perez
all the snow in the US ended up well north of Texas. but they're predicting a wet winter here, so maybe later.

"Dozens of movie theaters worldwide have equipped their employees with night vision goggles to spy on customers, hoping to spot illegal recording devices. Following complaints alleging invasion of privacy, in Germany the local authorities ruled that theaters have to warn their customers if they use such equipment, rendering their piracy trap useless."

The fact that theatres are going to such measures underlines the ridiculousness of the whole matter.

The oversized 'giant' is dressed after waking up in front of the Red Town Hall in Berlin, Germany, 02 October 2009. On and around the Day of German Unity, the French marionette street theatre company Royal de Luxe will give open air performances of the piece 'The giants arrive' in Berlin. Put on that lederhosen, get ready to sing drunk, and make friends with your neighbors- it's OCTOBER! Time to celebrate!!! PROST!"
