Like Robert, I'm a former 'Softie. And Scoble is spot on. Google is trying to feed developers. You can tell that from their leveraging of Webkit to their investment in items like Naive Client. But the latest GOOG news about GO may seal the deal. One of the biggest carrots they could pull use would be if they made some massive investments in Eclipse so that it gains further share on Visual Studio.
