Yesterday I earned $160!!, which to some is not that big, but to me its huge!;), it just goes to show that if you keep trying, keep learning, then it can happen just like it did for me!, so a big huge thanks to all at 30DC!!.
I am guessing you have put in a lot of effort to get that far.... I would imagine hundreds of posts, and tens of pages, and articles. Not easy, but very worth it! Well done
- Tim Brennan
Nice work Elliot! Make sure you frame that first $100 note and put it up in your "office". Will inspire you all the way to your first million :-)
- Ritesh Lal
Awesome job, I'm on Day 30 and (sadly) sitting at a big zero. But, I'm not deterred, only more motivated to try harder! =)
- David Rogers
Ah the power of purple! Such a thrill for all of us to share your delight and success since you have always been generous with advice and support in this room. Goodonyamate (not the Latin version!)
- Kim Baillie
Thankyou Kim! I retire to my bed a happy bunny. The Latin version: Goodonyamate goodonyamate goodonyamatam goodonyamati goodonyamatai goodonyamato. No?
- Isha (Marysia)
Thanks also to Dan Raine and Guru Bob and all the 30dc moderators and the whole 30dc team; and thanks also to the whole Noble Samurai team. Big kiss. 'nite
- Isha (Marysia)
Congratulations Marysia! You'll earn 10000x more this New Year! :)

I'm a happy camper. I just noticed that one of my sites ranks higher for my primary keyword than the affiliate product page (and its also their primary keyword). Kinda cool.
They are good for your blog! Almost any "Do-Follow" link to your blog is good. The only thing I would say be weary of is posting a link on a "non-related" site. You could wind up irritating people and doing more damage to your name and site than that link is worth. And as Lance and Robert have said...A link is a link! :)
- Michael Roberts
Do not worry if it is unrelated to your niche. If you can answer questions or participate in discussions then you are building your name as a helpful person. Also do not get hooked on the Do or No Follow links to where you limit yourself. Just avoid spam filled forums. In forums I seldom place an ad, I just run sigs.

This is the 2nd time I've watched this video. This improved version with subtitles really make me laugh. What a funny cat. How do I put in subtitles for youtube videos?
- Buff Toast
LOLOL!! That is too funny!! Thanks!......Buff, for text/subtitles etc - after you've uploaded to YouTube you will see an button called "Annotations" on the "My Videos" page. I find it to be a bit less than user friendly but it works. I'd practice on a short clip first - I lost a 10 min video trying to learn how to use it!
- DaleK
Just posted a message on Twitter. "Must focus! Unsubscribing from lists so I can focus on business building activities. Suffering from Paralysis by Analysis". How do you all find time to post? - I can't even keep up reading them or Ed's 30DC+ updates! Congrats to all you troupers. :-)
Lists? Like mailing lists? That's the problem. Lists are a pain to keep up with
- Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
Well you have made a good first step by unsubscribing to lists that are of no value to you. You can't follow and be everywhere. Focus on the things that move you forward and organize and develop a daily process that helps you manage it all. It takes some time but you can keep up with more than you think if you have a process.Google Reader is a great tool to use and keep up. Its even better using the Firefox/Flock addon Feedly. I did a video on it here http://bit.ly/TXsGg. Its Free and totally rocks Greader.
- Colossal Marketing™
Thanks all - especially Ron. I checked out your video and what a great tool that is. I will definitely down load it. I am always astounded at how much I have to learn. But in a way that is what keeps me from business building. As I see it, its about time management, prioritising and putting away chunks of time for each task like in the posting "Internet marketer - daily routine".
- Janelle Cranston
I love this Janelle, I suffer from the same OMG syndrome and like you have unsubscribed from nearly all lists and hanging on to our Ed and 30DC+

"Why do you always hear that 2 pounds per week is the maximum amount of fat you should safely lose? If you train really hard while watching calories closely shouldn't you be able to lose more fat without losing muscle or damaging your health? What if you want to lose fat faster? How do you explain the fast weight losses on The Biggest Loser? These are all good questions that I've been asked many times. With the diet marketplace being flooded every day with rapid weight loss claims, these questions desperately need and deserve some honest answers. Want to know where that 2 pounds per week rule comes from and what it really takes to burn more than 2 pounds of fat per week? Read on."
- William Harryman
CAUTION - it's VERY hard to burn more than two pounds of fat a week - you can lose more weight than that, but some of it will be muscle, which is the last thing you want to lose
- William Harryman
You know, people should be happy to lose 2 pounds a week, cause it adds up fast. Really, that's more than hard enough. Half that amount is still good progress. We've got a very famous comedienne in Oz - Magda Szubenski(sp?) - who has just been featured on a major women's mag and she lost 26kg in one year. That's about 1 pound a week and she sure looks delighted.
- Rosie Peters
I agree Rosie - I aim for 1-2 lbs a week with my clients, and for them that feels like losing a ton of weight - in a month, it's a size or two, then in 6 months it's time for new clothes :)
- William Harryman
Hi. Sorry. I'm back again... I was supposed to take a break... But I had to come back and check on something.. And in the process I also checked my Google Adsense. And found that I earned $1.12 from 2 clicks today on the Hubpage I made during the 30DC! I really successfully made my first $1 online!
I'd like to personally thank Ed Dale, Dan Raine, Guru Bob, and Caro for all the hard work that went into the 30DC once again! You guys rock! I'm sure that things are just going to get even better! :)
- Art Y.
And thank you, everyone of you here in the 30DC FriendFeed room and also at the forums! It was a tough time... No rest day or night... We went through hard times together, but in the end we made it successfully!
- Art Y.
And I'd also like to thank my parents, who raised me up so that I could stand on mountains, and walk on stormy seas...
- Art Y.
And also, thank God for the day I found the Thirty Day Challenge. I shudder to think of where I might be right now if I were not in here today...
- Art Y.
And thank you to all my fans (if I have any) for supporting me through these hard times and lonely years... It wasn't easy. But in the end, I couldn't have done it without all your support! I'm sorry. There will be no autograph signing session today as I really need to get away from my PC and get some rest... But thank you everyone! ^_^V
- Art Y.
Congratulations ART! *hands you a giant gold statue* and ushers you back to your seat.

"In the following 13 steps, we'll walk you through how we identify top blogs on any topic, how we quickly figure out what their most popular recent posts have been about, how we incorporate their blog archives into our knowledge about the field and how we find where else they are participating in conversation around the web. Going through the whole process takes us less time than it took us to write this post."

I don't make New Year's Resolutions. If I make any resolutions I make sure they are not at New Year ;). How about Permanent Resolutions, whether the year is "new" or "old"
- Rob Cooke
I absolutely disagree. I think this is generational claptrap. I was never typical of my Boomer Generation just "described", and hundreds of millions of other Boomers never subscribed to that view of the world, either. My 9 years younger "cusper" sister was far more radical and also far more materialistic than my husband and I were. We were not hippies, but had a bigger grasp of the...

- margalite
Margalite you are right on the market - generational claptrap indeed. In fact I was born in 52 and like any generation you are totally influenced by your surroundings and upbringing and everyone does what is needed at the time to make their way through life. Sorry people but it just wasn't baby boomers who elected and then re elected George W as it wasn't just cuspers who elected Barrack Obama. I vote for not trying to pidgeon hole everyone!
- Anne Bain
I generally don't read this type of bullshit that these self proclaimed commentator experts make themselves out to be. Let's get it straight folks, people are people, and as much as the boomers made their mistakes so will these next generations. Obama is popular now but he will fade like all others before him and make mistakes as well. Wake up people Obama isn't God you know. I am a cusper BTW.
- Greg Martin
Too right Anne and Greg. I could get on my political soapbox and yell that it was actually Reagan and Maggie Thatcher that presided over the me-me-me attitudes of the 80s and early 90s, but would I do that?! :)
- Isha (Marysia)
And woops one's ancient and dead and the other's ancient and alive...
- Isha (Marysia)
We should all take a lesson from this.. articles that are written controversially draw attention. get many posts and probably rank highly quickly... as for monitization.... traffic rules right....
- Mark South
That is a really funny video. Made my morning.
- Dave Covin
And I always thought this IS what a product launch looked like behind the scenes.
- Gary Utz
But do you get the marketing lesson behind it!
- Ed Dale
Don't plan things too perfectly.. Better to let it have imperfections and use them as part of your marketing strategy? Am l close? BtW I am a huge fan Ed .
- Gary Utz
I wonder how many followed the URL at the end.?
- Allison
Nice one, and yes it's always best to put on your warmest winter fleece when a storm is brewing, watch out you little tinkers don't they say Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold ?
- Groobers
Actually I have to agree with Tom. Sometimes we have to be selfish to achieve our weight loss goals. But we have to have a measure:)
- Miroslav Nikolov
I didn't get most of this article, in terms of the title. The title seems to indicate that if you use these 15 secrets, you'll become a power user. But it raised a few questions in my mind: 1. what is the benefit of liking or commenting someone else's post? 2. Is it REALLY worth all the effort to reformat everything to add visual appeal and repost something directly into friendfeed rather than just clicking "share" in Google Reader, or posting a message to twitter? Does anyone else do this?
- Chad Sentman
I'm still trying to wrap my brain around FF. Liking/commenting, rather than just posting a link to the same resource (seems to me) to get you involved in a conversation and exposed to people outside your current "sphere of influence". Though I still might (retweet or retwit or whatever the lingo is!) to my network and reference Barb as the source? As far as adding eye candy - the author is referring to "sharing" to a blog (I believe).
- DaleK
@Chad: I always feel like the energy I've invested into FriendFeed is worth more to the community if other people like and/or comment on the article. If I can't dress up an otherwise worthwhile share enough to get people to read it then I'm not sure I can really say it was worth reading. It sounds a bit mercenary but it's just too hard for readers to differentiate between a stream of one-line-no-pic headlines that all look the same.
- Daniel J. Pritchett
Good Day All - I just checked my affiliate stats and I made another $7 - woohoo. Now with this and the last sale I've paid for my domain name Yay! A little secret, I haven't done any work to my site in about a month. Waiting to kick it up again in the New Year; am otherwise occupied playing Santa
That's the beauty of this business model, you make money even if you don't work at it as much. Now imagine what you will get when you really put some more effort. Congrats are in order!
- Jorge Blanco
In the end we have to be happy with our weigh, but everything around telling us that we have to be thinner. When you turn on tv or some music channel you will see nice looking bodies and this "help" you to be always concern about yours. The bad influence is everywhere.
- Miroslav Nikolov
I used to hate mirrors because I was overweight. I shouldn't say this lol but after weight training for 2 years I sometimes don't like the "ripped" look in my upper body (so un Victoria Secret model looking!). I have to keep going though - at least until my lower body catches up! ;) Then maybe I'll find something else not to like I'm sure!
