I am trying to help my mother find a new dog. She's had some bad luck lately and she is really missing her babies. She had a gorgeous little girl (I am not sure of the breed), and that was her best friend. She let her go out in the backyard to go potty with her other dog and when she went out to let them back in a few minutes later, only one dog came back. There are no holes in the fence and no way for the dogs to get out on their own, so my mom has a feeling she was taken. She checked the pound and tried to get the word out, but it's been several months and she hasn't had any luck. A few weeks ago, a realitive rescued a puppy from a puppy mill and asked if my mom would like to take care of her. My mom was finally happy again and Lucy was an immediate member of the family. Lucy had several problems and made regular visits to the vet. We lost Lucy about a week and a half ago. We need volunteers to help out in all areas at our big cat refuge located near Terrell, Texas. We need onsite volunteers to help clean and maintain the grounds and pens, as well as feeding the cats in the evenings, and also need assistance with fund-raising projects and media exposure. We have lots of big projects coming up including building cinder block houses, repair of a roof in one of our "Cougar Country" pens, repair of a sliding gate in a tiger pen and converting a cougar pen to a tiger pen, which will include building a concrete patio and cover, inserting a sliding gate into a playground pen and a general overhaul of the area. I hate to do this, but I can no longer take care of my babies, Im going through alot of stress in my life right now and I dont want them to suffer because of me =(. I have two geckos one is 4 months old and the other is 8 months, and they need a new and loving home, Ive completely spoiled them they love to be held everyday.
