How To Avoid A Home Foreclosure The Easy Way - http://advanceindiana.blogspot.com/2009...
"Although the talk of how awesome it would be to dodge paying a mortgage and keep your house, in a perverse sort of way. I often said during the big sub-prime blowup that the problem was never sub-prime loans it was that they were priced too low. Many paid great and were good investments but the rates should have been higher ... like health insurance is now ... due to cheating. The above "cheat" is just another reason that I have to believe rates on all mortgages are going to have to go up. The risk is aweful high if an attorney can claim the client doesn't owe the money because the mortgage company lost the note. (of course the note was recorded and does exist, they just can't find the original)" - Daltonsbriefs

Campaign Spot On Hostettler Senate Bid - http://advanceindiana.blogspot.com/2009...
"wow, cool that the tea partiers stopped in to say hi. I have said since day one that the problem with Behney is that he claimed to not be a politician, while tea partiers were all claiming thus, and then as soon as the action started to die down announced his run for Senate. I said then and will say now, he jumped too many steps, the tea party was a good first step ... run for state rep, run for county commissioner, run for city council. This will be read as some kind of attack of course, and none is intended, I've given same advice to RLC'ers here in the region. They and the tea party groups are all intermingled, with last years Ron Paul groups thrown in, and are working well together. I will be supporting Marlin Stutzman, it's pretty tough Beth to call him a lifelong politician. Last I checked he hasn't been in state senate for decades, perhaps a term or two, and comes from a family farm." - Daltonsbriefs

"Johnny come lately is a bit late to the game. I'm with Marlin Stutzman personally and feel that Hostettler knew he couldn't beat Dumezich and waited until Dan pulled out. Word is that Dan didn't think he could beat Bayh even with $15 million from out of state donors. Not sure Hostettler can do even close in money or votes." - Daltonsbriefs

Re: United States Senate - Field widens for GOP - http://reasonbellpundit.blogspot.com/2009...
"Agreed Kevin, Behney and Bates were never very serious as candidates. But this does shape up as a possible newsmaker now, which may actually help both candidates raise money. I have to believe that Hostettler did get some money from someone outside the state, or he wouldn't have thrown his hat in the ring ... I'm wondering aloud if Dumezich decided to throw his support that direction. I'm with Marlin, personally at least, and we agreed not to do sitewide endorsements this year since we have so many writers." - Daltonsbriefs

"Chuck, welcome aboard, I appreciate your remarks. I only wish this kind of fleshed out conversation could have taken place over the last year. Instead much of the debate has been in the newspaper, with people using fake names and bashing each other. Laura is a good friend and has good intentions. So are you Chuck. I think it's possible we have all passed each other in the dark, and continue to fight over something we roughly agree on. I hate to be blunt, but frankly we've all been used for the last 7 years by one man who is running the county like his private forest preserve. If I'm not mistaken, he had to fly out of state to visit his kids for the holiday." - Daltonsbriefs

Can Your Social Media Handle the Drama Caused By a Nail? - http://www.natfinn.com/2009...
"A great point Nat. Often small companies take a look at social media as a way to cut advertising costs. This strategy may well work, but it most definitely won’t if the small business is trying to hide from customers. In your example, the gas station wasn’t responsible for the flat tire. But, they took care of it because they cared and saw the unfairness of the situation as a way to help … and get future business." - Daltonsbriefs

Re: The Indiana Republican Party should BAN the RLC! - http://reasonbellpundit.blogspot.com/2009...
"I sure appreciate all the input from Florida today, our little political debate found it's way into a much bigger fracas down there. For those still watching from the sidelines, a bit of context might help. In Porter County conservatives have ruled for decades, whether they be Democrats or Republicans. We have low taxes, we have good character, we have decent long serving politicians. The key to this argument may be more adroitly focused on the differences between libertarian Republicans, who would espouse a strong laissez faire principal but also throw in some NIMBY and anti-growth rural tendencies ... with business Republicans who are going to look at public-private partnerships as opportunity and not RHINO escapades. Many of us are right in the middle, wanting to see innovative uses of partnerships and collaboration but wary of too much government. The Pro-growthers messed up on a referendum last month, the anti-growthers used the RLC as a tool to disparage Republicans. Add into..." - Daltonsbriefs

"Bangpound, so you would advocate increasing the gasoline tax or a gas tax and wheel tax type structure, high enough to pay for all road construction, maintenance, storm water, and maybe even policing? Then why not increase the rider fares on the South Shore to include long term maintenance, new line construction, new equipment ... basically all costs for the South Shore to exist and grow? If that's the case I think the South Shore could be privatized since it would be able to make money if it charged only a little bit more. Maybe $15 bucks to get into the City. Now the only real competition would be the tollway, where the Skyway booth alone is supposed to go to $10 bucks in the next couple years. I see where you're going, a solid libertarian position." - Daltonsbriefs
