He's a 9/11 Troofer troll who has a rather creepy obsession with me (probably because I'm Jewish and he's anti-Israel and possibly anti-Semitic as well). It's always entertaining to see mental meltdowns among religious fundamentalists like Akiva. He made three false statements in his comment: I am not a 9/11 "Troofer," not anti-Israel and not remotely antisemitic -- in fact I rely heavily on Jewish pundits for my own political analysis. I have strongly opposed neoconservatives and Christian Zionists at the extremist end of the political spectrum, but Akiva Moskovitz has never been able to debate me on these issues. Notice that Akiva didn't deny that he is a Sarah Palin supporter -- I think we can safely assume that he is. - Sean McBride

Akiva is himself a neoconservative, but he can't defend his emotional beliefs on this subject. No neocons on Friendfeed or anywhere else can -- they are essentially irrational cultists. I am still curious to know whether he unwittingly or wittingly selected the name of a famous fictional Jewish terrorist from Leon Uris's Exodus for his handle -- that would be a very Likudnik move. Akiva and I first came to loggerheads when I expressed strong opposition to an American attack on Iran, and pointed out that my position was supported by the American military and intelligence establishments. Akiva is hoping that McCain and Palin will attack Iran. - Sean McBride

Regarding the easy way in which Akiva throws around the antisemitism smear to try to escape real political debate -- he is very much out of touch with the majority of American Jews on both religious and political issues. Alexander, I don't think much of it all. The trooper in question clearly has abused his power much more than Palin ever did. In the end, it sounds a lot like the "scandal" over the firing of attorneys general: much ado about nothing.
