"I didn't find it via there, honestly. A coincidence of sorts -- I'm guessing whatever caused it to hit my radar either (a) was prompted by NPR or (b) also caused it to end up on NPR. It's just how the Internet works, I guess."

"I write a [daily email newsletter of stuff just like all this stuff](http://dlewis.net/nik), such as: * Carrots used to be purple * Abraham Lincoln created the Secret Service just hours before he was shot * In WWII, the Allies were able to determine the # of German tanks produced because the Germans left serial numbers on their tanks."

Starts off amazing. At about 1 minute mark, becomes inexplicably amazing. And then gets better.. And I'm only at 1:30.

MrDNL on I was going to start a thread called "Find a pic which looks like your reddit username," and then I realized that this thread was destined to be created. - http://www.reddit.com/r...
MrDNL on Question, how can I turn $100 into $200? (not counting "buy CD and wait xx years" option). Assume I can put significant time into it. - http://www.reddit.com/r...
"You're looking for arbitrage opportunities. The garage sale example given is good, but there are lots of such opportunities. There's a guy with a fruit stand outside my office who sells bananas, 7 for $1. I could easily buy 21 a day, eat one, and sell the other 20 at $0.25/each inside (and passively, on the honor system, e.g. "Drop in a quarter; take a banana" sign). I'd make $5 gross/$2 net a day plus get a free banana. There's probably a similar opportunity near you."

Sorry, Reddit. I couldn't resist making this. (Do not click if you have photosensitive epilepsy or are so dumb so dumb so dumb so dumb.) - http://www.reddit.com/r...
"I almost never rip off /r/todayIlearned. Most of the time, I write something and then submit it to the subreddit, and the mods there have explicitly said it was OK."
