This looks like a great app for secondary backups to S3, and it takes the guesswork out of how much it's gonna cost with S3's pricing tiers.

I'm replacing our Flip minoHD and Canon Elph SD750 still cam with a Canon SX200. Nearly as small as Flip/Canon Elph series, 12x optical zoom, and HD (720p) video recording just like the Flip. It also has manual control, all the facial/blink recognition, 18 automatic scene modes, and supports up to 32GB chips. About the only thing it misses is a built-in USB port, but that doesn't matter to me. I can't wait to pick it up.
- David Chartier
Why not pick up a Sanyo Xacti camera instead? Only like $300
- Dom Barnes
I dig the flip for most stuff, but like the Xacti HD1010 if you need to get a little closer/cleaner. I don't understand why there are so few pistol-grip vidcams around.
- Kevin Fox
I don't understand the appeal of the Flip, unless it is for my grandmother or a six year old. I'm with David on this one, why not get a full-featured point and shoot that does 720p video for about the same price? Stills, adjustable zoom, bigger screen,etc....
- Craig
was just talking to a friend about this exactly. Flip vs Still Camera w/ HD Video + OIS for same price?
- Joe Kwon
I just got one of the new Flip Ultra HD. 2 hrs of memory. Good times. Like it so far.

"Really awesome game! Never heard of it before, probably because I don’t have a PS3, but it reminds me of a Mac game called Tranquility. It’s available for both Mac and Windows, but I think it was on the Mac first, someone correct me if I’m wrong. Anywho, it’s the same type of gameplay where trying to get the most points or finish levels the fastest is not the way to play. There is a goal to the game, but it’s meant to be carefree and relaxing. I’ll let the website explain further: http://www.tqworld.com/ I actually haven’t played this game since the days of 10.3 Panther, but thanks for reminding me about it (albeit inadvertently). Since you can’t bring your PS3 everywhere with you, having this on your laptop will be handy when you want a little “tranquility”. ;)"

"even better"? (I agree this seems like a good idea)

Dude, Times Square is awesome. Rachel and I got engaged there!

I never understood the logic behind a diagonal street in a grid lay-out. I welcome this change...especially if it can lessen pedestrian congestion (which, at times, can be just as bad as traffic).
- Ryan Kaisoglus
This is a great idea.. the biggest reason native new yorkers hate times square is the pedestrian traffic. this should make things a lot better.
- Dan Bedford
@Ryan Kaisoglus the reason why broadway is diagonal is because it was originally the Wickquasgeck Trail, a major trail used by the manhattan natives before the dutch settled here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
- Dan Bedford
Even weirder than a diagonal street in a grid lay-out is naming the places where the diagonal intersects the grid "squares".
- Laurence Gonsalves
@Dan - Interesting! One rarely thinks of Manhattan as a place without concrete, glass and steel.
