Actually, look at the graph. Most of the visitors to your news website come once or twice a month. A pay wall at the front door means that they're discouraged from becoming more engaged readers.

Seriously, where does it go? Once you've identified a graph of visitors to engagement, the placement of a paywall seems almost arbitrary.

It would save the links to a category and custom taxonomy. One identified issue, although resolvable, is that it wouldn't keep you from bookmarking the same link twice.
