reverie on Hey Reddit: Noah Biorkman is a 5 y.o. boy who is dying of cancer. His family is celebrating Christmas next week as he may not live to see it this year. All he wants is Christmas cards. Lets try and see how many we can get to him. His address is: 1141 Fountain View Circle South Lyon, Mi 48178 - http://www.reddit.com/r...
"You can also use [Snailmailr](http://snailmailr.com/) to send a snail mail letter online. I recommend getting a real handwritten card if you can, but for the super-unmotivated that's one alternative. (I'm not associated with them)"

"Good interview. Amazing that John Carmack has such a intimate role in development almost 20 years after he founded the company. Reading that he was the sole guy behind getting Doom Classic on the iPhone is inspiring. Definitely one of my heroes while growing up and still today."

"Still doesn't excite me as much as the early descriptions from a year ago. But I do admit this trailer is infinitely better than the teaser we had."

"My question is how long it'll be until blogs cease to be classified as something different. Not that there's something bad about "blogs", but there's a slightly different connotation in that word. A An online newspaper is made to feel trivial compared to its printed cousin ("it's just the blog version"). It also makes it feel geekier; to my older relatives, reading a blog sounds high-tech, instead of just saying you're reading a story published online. The term and concept is certainly mainstream now. If someone tells me they have a website, I think blog. Websites with content are updated like a blog, and almost all are structured like one. The most meaningful difference in the word blog is that it implies something personal."

"I've been hearing this "quarterlife crisis" much more often recently. I didn't even know it was a thing. But now that I know, I need to examine if I'm going through one or not."

"Josh was an asset to the Platform team and I know he'll do very well in the new role. His involvement with developers is what really made the difference so I'm looking forward to what'll happen at Twitter."

reverie on I bet you will all love this: Jeff Dunham Show premiere breaks Comedy Central's 2009 record with 5.3 million viewers - http://www.reddit.com/r...
"I just heard about Jeff Dunham from this thread and went ahead and did some research on YouTube. I found this video with almost 100M views: http://www.youtube.com/watch... I read through the comments as the video played, and I felt like I was in some sort of sick, bizarro world. An exaggerated parody of society. Thousands comments saying how brilliant he is, with the few "He's not funny" comments being voted down to negative scores. I didn't even smile once through his routine... he's a talented ventriloquist, absolutely, but there just nothing entertaining or funny about this act."
