"Hi Kate, the claim method will only work with websites that use Disqus.
This is useful for merging in comments you've made while not logged in. Unfortunately we cannot bring in non-Disqus comments at this time." - Daniel Ha
"Hi there, I'm from Disqus.
The comment count is off because your permalink URL changed, which is the identifier that associates a blog post with its discussion thread. We can either merge the thread for you or you can leave it alone." - Daniel Ha
"Hi there,
This sounds like a simple style issue. Unfortunately, I won't be able
to assist you if I can't see how it's going haywire on the site. Is
there any example I can see?" - Daniel Ha
"The CSS warnings refer to some rules that are IE-specific. This makes
no impact on non-IE browsers.
Mootools conflicts with the get_num_replies script that retrieves the
comment count. There is not a true workaround at the moment, but we're
still investigating." - Daniel Ha
"Could you verify if removing mootools (while leaving Disqus) also
fixes this issue?
There may be a conflict and I'd like to make sure this is the case." - Daniel Ha
"Sorry if my post sounded terse; my post was done from my phone and brevity comes off badly many times. I promise it was friendly. :)
I agree that this needs to be indicated in our help documentation because the issue comes up often. I would very much like this to be resolved, but it's been difficult for us to get in contact with the people who can fix this. I will continue seeing if we can address it.
Again, this isn't something we are ignoring -- it's just something we can't immediately solve ourselves without the help of Blogger." - Daniel Ha
"Fred,
Couple things:
1) Editing will be making its way back in soon. You won't have to do anything on your end.
2) Trackbacks will not be imported at this time as Disqus has its own trackback system. I think allowing WP trackbacks is a good idea and we'll investigate this." - Daniel Ha
