You come upon a cliff and you dangling from it seconds away from dying, losing their grip, 1 random unknown human and all of the Gorillas on the planet. You only have time to save either the human, or all the Gorillas (they're all like in the same bag or something) Which do you save?
Soccer, Boxing, MMA, F1, Golf, Rugby, Cricket, Tennis - The thing that is infuriating about these sports, there is no real champion, championship, or ranking system for the 200,000,000,000 championships, tests, cups, trophys etc.
It seems like every other week there is another Soccer "Championship" that everyone is losing their freaking minds over. We have all this about this Fraco-Ireland debocle, that everyone this is so important because it's a championship, but I swear to Bob we just 4 months ago during the summer were dealing with the soccer championship. YOU CAN'T HAVE A FRACKING CHAMPIONSHIP EVERY 45 MINUTES!
- Matthew DeVries
And Boxing? WTF?! Not only are there 45 different belts declaring who the "Champion" is, but the second someone does pull their shit together and gets all the 200 belts, they take all but one away from him, give them to random people and scatter them to the wind.
- Matthew DeVries
I guess technically Golf has the annual money winner and Tennis has the world rankings, but neither of these are the result of anything you route a whole year for and comes down to a match up.
- Matthew DeVries
The Superbowl? You know who the champion is.
- Matthew DeVries
The World Series? You know who the champion is.
- Matthew DeVries
March Madness, you know who the champion is.
- Matthew DeVries
I think the big problem for football/soccer, is its popularity. There are so many different leagues in different countries and regions that by nature it is decentralized. The US teams aren't the center of attention. The World Series and the Superbowl barely involve two countries.
- Jennifer Dittrich
Lord Stanley's Cup, you know who the champion is.
- Matthew DeVries
Though I must say, I really enjoyed College Football a whole lot more when the season just ended with a bunch of disjointed by invitation bowl games that have zero to do with who the champion was.
- Matthew DeVries
But isn't Europe ~= USA in population? Can't they have a "European Championship" and be done with it?
- Matthew DeVries

Sad - Old school websites at the cutting edge of the multimedia by coding in Shockwave......But today's Flash will not play the old Shockwave sites. These gems of media perfection, forever silenced. Pushing their code to ears that will never again see them, or eyes that will never again hear them. :(
@Veronica - Within the last month one of the Tekzilla sponsors was a service that goes through and fixes all your music library files, adds album art, puts in the right track numbers in, etc. However, I can't find a per/episode sponsor list for your shows, so I can't track down that service. Any clue what it was?
Isn't iTunes supposed to have a button for converting my DRM tracks to DRM free? Like a legit make the FBI happy kind of way? Something about "Upgrade My Library"? I can't find that button dammit.
Why did I ever become a healer? I seem to remember being all hardcore in love with Boomkining, then it all goes black, suddenly it's 6 months later and I'm a tree.
Haven't played at all for year, working on my WoW memoirs

You know how the Pharmacy always staples a second bottle sticker to the bag that your prescription is in? Is that so you can put that sticker on a second special bottle when you get home?
I saw this when it happened for real, live, the first time...... Was like 5.... Sad.

Dear Friendfeed old people - I'm watching a TV show right now (Not spoiling which) where the power is hopelessly out, and they're forced to do their police work without power. They had drawing of a suspect, and someone found an old Mimeograph machine. The young people were clueless, the old guy on the show comes up, grabs the drawing, throws it..
..in the drum and boom, makin copies. I thought that these things needs wax stencils, made with ribbonless typewritters, you couldn't just throw a piece of paper in it and make the copies.
- Matthew DeVries
So how could you tell what you were typing without a typewriter ribbon?
- Matthew DeVries
Mimeo was black. And yes, this old person wondered about the stencil. You'd need to trace the drawing on a wax stencil first. The ditto machine produced the heady-smelling purple copies.
- m9m, Crone of FriendFeed
You mean all these years I'd been mislead in believing that the purpley-ink copy machine was a mimeo? Next you'll tell me that an IBM Selectric really a typewriter.
- Sally Robinson
actually, i used Ditto Machines in school, not mimeographs [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...]. in fact, my dad used to work for Ditto Corp when i was a kid and i got to play around a lot w/ them. messy, aromatic, and lots of fun!
- MikeAmundsen
Matt: TV show might have used a Thermofax[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...] machine instead of mimeograph. Thermofax worked w/ regular typewritten or written pages, but were lower quality.
- MikeAmundsen
since i've already offered way more than requested, i might as well complete the set. in a previous job (long ago) i was a music score copyist. we would write the 'originals' in black ink on clear plastic sheets and the copies were produced using an Ozalid machine [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...]. the copies yellowed over time, but it was a popular and relatively inexpensive way to produce the copies needed for performances.
- MikeAmundsen
Wasn't thermofax, it was manual, crank driven, no electricity.

I really don't like Domino's Pizza, even compared to other large fast food type Pizza places it wouldn't be in the top 5, but their online ordering system and tracking set up is so easy and fun that I just order it from them. 3 clicks and pie, none of this dialing the phone bullshit.
I used to like Papa John's for the same reason (not the tracking, but the ordering). Now that I'm 20' outside their delivery area, I hate them with the fire of 1000 suns. I'm not a big Domino's fan, but I might have to check that ou.

Ooooh. OK, that kicks ass. I think I know what I'm having for dinner tonight.

Better than the Pizza Hut iPhone app?
- Kevin Pedraja
Have fun eating that "Anti-Choice" pizza.
- Alex Scoble
Ugh, Domino's. We almost exclusively buy from our local neighborhood pizza place.

I'd really like to see Leo Laporte do a talk-soup type show, that summarizes the best of all the TWiT network shows, doing clips, with banter in between by one of the producers who's putting it together. It could be called This Week At TWiT.
I generally don't like montage-type things like that, but it actually sounds kinda like an ingenious idea. I'd watch/listen to it, and I'm sure many, many, many others would too.

I can't believe that this week of all weeks, not a damn one of you is willing to give Tina, who has given so much to you, her much deserved release! Shame! Blueballing the best of us......
- Matthew DeVries
I had a conversation just like this with my buddy Jason. The result was the following TWiTWiT podcast: http://bit.ly/75fBa [iTunes link] What do you think?
- Noah Wolfe
Need a geeky comedian to host this. I'd suggest MDV and Glen Campbell for this. Both of them are very funny and mildly geeky enough to pass it off.
- CW™
Anyone share this with Leo yet? Cause he always likes ideas about new shows. This would be easy to do to with a wrap up of shows that were done that week with a fresh face that wants to get into podcasts. Easy to do and fun. Did I mention easy to do?
- CW™
funny thing is, that this has been sitting in my inbox (inbox 1 if you will call it) since nov 4th... i'm glad we could finally get you some release Tina ;-P
- Chris Heath
oh and now i get to claim inbox zero!

Leo, if it's in the offing somewhere, you should grab the URL .tv for it. I bet it would quickly be the top search result when you type in that title!
