_Haywire_ (@ Majestic) has a fantastic cast and realistic fights with an action heroine that is completely credible. A little slow, but fun.
_Red Tails_ (@ Majestic) has thrilling aerial dogfights and impressive visuals, but it has possibly the worst dialogue ever in a movie. :-(

_Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows_ (@ Majestic) has a sparkling script & fun performances. A worthy sequel, maybe even better than first.
_Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol_ (@ Majestic/IMAX) is an excellent action movie, but it didn't quite live up to my great expectations.
So there's a leak in the water line running into my house. I have 15 days to fix it—maybe less if neighbors complain. Merry Christmas to me!

_The Turin Horse_ (@ AFI EU Film Showcase, 11/18) is a challenging-but-rewarding art film by Béla Tarr. Gorgeous B&W with little dialog.
_A Dangerous Method_ (@ AFI EU Film Showcase, 11/18) is Cronenberg's film about relationship between Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud. Well made!
_Innocence_ (@ AFI EU Film Showcase, 11/17) is a Czech film about a doctor accused of having sex with his teen patient. Shocking. Well done.
_The Deep Blue Sea_ (@ AFI EU Film Showcase, 11/17) is a post-WWII English period film starring Rachel Weisz. A bit too melodramatic for me.
_The Descendants_ (@ Bethesda Row, 11/19) is Alexander Payne's latest about family ties, letting go and holding on. One of the best of 2011.
_Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy_ (@ AFI EU Film Showcase, 11/21) is a superb adaptation of Le Carré's novel. Q&A with Gary Oldman & director!
