455 at the moment. Most days I add at least a one or two more notes to my everbrain.

370 notes in my Evernote! Great way to keep track of everything! (Now my iPhone just needs a better camera to take pix of receipts!)

"Steve Nash is the Jennifer Aniston of the NBA: A sympathetic figure who brings a ton to the table and just wanted to have kids (or in Nash's case, win one title), only now his window is closing and he's considering the sperm donor route (or in Nash's case, a mercy trade to a contender with a better chance of winning, like Portland). By the way, Sarver is absolutely Angelina Jolie in this analogy -- he ruined everything and doesn't even feel bad about it. The Shaq trade equals the time she's wasting by dating John Mayer -- ultimately, it's a wasted year for her ovaries. Amare Stoudemire was Brad Pitt, the guy who should have made it happen and didn't. And I think Marc Stein was Us Weekly."

Went to law school w/Demetri. "Went with" is strong - "went at same time" is more accurate. He dropped out after 1st year, I believe, to pursue comedy.

"What is a sunk cost? In financial terms, it's a lost cause -- you're paying for something that has lost its value to you. Let's say I spent $200 on one of those beautiful, 6-foot-high, glass-blown water bongs and named it Barack Obonga. And let's say I smoked a little too much of the special hydro weed they give to cancer patients, decided someone was watching me through my front window, ran outside in my underwear with a baseball bat, and eventually spent the next two hours sitting in a tree waiting for the imaginary guy to come back before my neighbors called the police. And let's say the whole experience made me say, "You know what? I need to quit smoking pot, it's making me a little crazy." Maybe I'd try to sell the bong on Craigslist to no avail, and none of my friends would take it because there's nothing grosser than owning someone else's bong. At that specific point, Barack Obonga would become a sunk cost; that money is out the window. It's gone. I need to accept this fact and move on."

A beautiful 6' high glass water pipe...err...bong for $200 is a steal, if I remember the prices at the last head-shop I visited in the States about 6 years ago. The real highway robbery is what is costs you for that "hydro", imo. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

At least, that’s the word at the ESPN Zone in Times Square, where a New York Times editor was watching yesterday’s Chiefs-Patriots game. When Brady went down, “Most of the people in the restaurant roared with delight.” Very, very classy...

Amazing...just like that, the Jets are the AFC East favorites
- Bwana ☠
Spoken like a true Jets fan (I know many). But this year, it's a tad different: Brett Favre. You saw what he did today. Throws up a prayer and it's a touchdown. We'll see about Buffalo
- Bwana ☠
the fact that one would gloat over an injury is pathetic
- David
@David I don't think so -- after years of cheating by the Patriots and the lies of Brady always on the Disabled List. This is karma coming back to bite them in the ass

For the record, I do feel a little bad because it's for the whole year. I thought it would just be a few games
- Shey, Jamaican of FF
Then again, they've been so dishonest with their DL so far...who knows how bad it really is
- Shey, Jamaican of FF
Shey, you are wrong. You never gloat or cheer for injury. Ever.

Great speech but I wish he didn't do it in a football stadium. Only helps to perpetuate the notion among the swing voters that he is somehow "different" and is just a rockstar personality.
- David
He's such a great speaker, and has great stories to tell. The crowd was cheering more than it ever would for the Broncos.

David, it didn't seem to hurt Kennedy at the convention in 1960 when he gave his "New Frontier" speech. :-)

I really don't get the big deal over the venue. Guess what, a Presidential candidate is *bigger* than a rock star. Um, hello, leader of the free world? And how many *millions* watch on TV? So, what's the big to-do over having more people see him speak in person? Sounds like a backhand elitist comment.
- AJ Kohn
I rather have americans engaged in a presidential campaign b/c his decisions impact the future of our country not the Jonas Brothers. ashame to see Americans criticized for caring
- R. Ferguson
Everyone is missing the point of why he wanted to do it in a venue like that. He didn't want to limit it to the delegates and a few lucky supporters. He wanted to open it up to as many people as possible because WE'RE the ones who've made his campaign possible. It wasn't to be a rockstar. Whether he did it face to face with 85 thousand or 2 million via a television screen, IT DOESN'T MATTER.
