Why is it that the back end of my blog is painfully slow no matter what kind of connection I have? Bluehost & wordpress not playing well?

I think it is FFox plugins! I just tried Safari and am having no issue. Why didn't I think of this months ago?

True, seems to only happen with the back-end of blog on FFox and that's the only place. Regardless, I'll settle for safari & speed

I still think a great 'lesson' for kids is that there are consequences for their actions, so we may have to a agree to disagree.

This is what I started with:

& I'm talking 5 to 15 minutes, not a week.

I disagree. Besides, the time-out always involves discussion time... not standing in a corner. It's my chance to talk to them as well.

True it might be more about managing than teaching, but I find a kid 'gets it' that if they can't play with others, they miss out.

'Sitting out' serves no one unless there is a conversation AND that sitting out is logical in that 'sitting in' = repeated - behavior.

It builds, first conversation, then warning, then sit out with me for a few minutes (less min. than age), only twice has it been full.

Yes, good weekend to you too. I'm supposed to be reading report cards, but at 4am I might start with an edublogs award post instead.

As I said, it has only been 3 months, I'm new to the rugrat age, but I'm getting a lot more reporting & a lot less retaliation recently

I'm not dealing with major behavior and their are conversations and suggestions (and warnings) given before a time out consequence

When 'retaliation' is usually 'what happens next' it becomes a ridiculous thing to try and 'manage' rather than teach.

I'm new to the elementary program, but after 3 months I'm getting many more kids coming to me rather than hitting back.

Re: That kid becoming the 'organizer' of a game. Maybe later on, but I want there to be a clear consequence, not a seeming reward.

I'm not sure where you are going with this? 'discipline as consequence'.Playground disputes have consequences- simple to understand-no?

If it wasn't almost 4am I'd suggest a skype call, but I live in an apartment now so there is no such thing as a quiet conversation:)

Yup intention of my response was 'maybe for a recess issue' but not for a classroom management issue. We were actually in line at start

Role play is great. We've been working on 'caring' in class, going to start suggesting some roleplays in classes- thanks!

recently the spam DM's have been coming in 3's and 4's. I've even given up on DM'ing the person they are coming from about them.
