"We will watch for it. In the meantime we're getting ready to introduce the Fargo-WordPress connection, using our proxy server. Reluctantly, because it seems like a total waste of resources. But the connection between the products is too juicy. Say hi to Matt for me. ;-)"

"Me too. But back then if you wanted to make money with outliners you had to make it do production work. Intellectual work wasn't enough. The channel was supreme, and the market while it seemed huge at the time was pretty small. This time around however I want production to have its proper role, at the edges, with the intellectual activity at the center."

"Thanks for the tip, sorry we missed it (we did a lot of unnecessary work). We're already starting to work on integrating it into Fargo. This is going to be very cool! :-)"

"Eric, I think it's a great idea -- and here's what I recommend. Before you can use it in your classes, you should become fluent with the software. And give us a chance to smooth out some of the things that might now be confusing. It might just take a few weeks to get there, or a couple of months. But to rush it that's not likely to work."

"You're right -- that requires a URL so is not a solution. How about this: 1. Copy the file to your Fargo folder. 2. Open it from the File/Open command. Dave"

"Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Can you provide some info about what happened? Do you think it was a problem with Dropbox or Fargo, or an interaction between the two."

"This always happens when enthusiastic and helpful nerds show up around a product that is designed for thinkers and organizers. I wouldn't worry about it, and don't think of yourself as a 10 year old! There are all kinds of people in the world, and we need super-nerds to keep it spinning. We also need thinkers! :-)"

"I haven't written that section of the About page yet, but I will, probably this morning. To answer this specific question: We could access the content of files in the Fargo folder of your dropbox, but we don't. The only time our server is involved is when you import OPML from outside Fargo into Fargo. Dave"

"How to create a link node (a headline with a bookmark icon): 1. Make sure there's a URL on the clipboard. 2. In Fargo, click on the wedge next to the headline you want to turn into a link node. This gets you into structure mode. 3. Click the link icon in the left sidebar. 4. Paste the URL. 5. Click OK. That's it. The "trick" is to be sure you're in structure mode. I should probably add this to the Outliner Howto. Let me know if it works."

"I think we have to make it persist and put it somewhere out of the way. I copied Google for prior art when I did the cribsheet. But now that I've seen more how other people do it, I think we could do a better job... But I'm delighted you love Fargo. We do too. It's very liberating. ;-) Dave"
