Re: How Windows 8 Throws Computer Users Under the Bus -
June 11, 2012
"If they make it too hard on users they won't upgrade. And if they provide an easy opt-out for Metro, they probably know from user-testing, that the users will turn it off and be done with it. The problem for Microsoft, and Apple is that no one gives a shit about the OS. No matter what they do, they can't make them care. They. Don't. Care. It's a problem because they employ a lot of programmers whose salaries depending on the users caring. Anyway, I love Windows XP. Works great. It'll be hard to get me to look at anything else (I know they say it'll be done, no more updates, starting in less than two years). It'll be interesting to see if they have the guts to do it. :-)" -
