I'm going to go out on a limb here and disagree with both Bill Gates and Peter Norvig. First of all, it's vastly oversimplifying things to say that "the key one to achieve is 80% by 2050." What matters is not just the long-term rate of CO2 emissions but the amount of CO2 accumulated in the atmosphere. If we don't achieve a 30% reduction by 2025, we'll need to achieve a 90% reduction by 2050 to make up for it. (Numbers are completely made up, but you get the idea.) - Jim Norris

I imagine Facebook is putting their resources in the ports their user base is demanding. The number of users they have on iPhone demands attention, and shorting it for reasons that are somewhat political probably isn't wise. With the growing popularity of Android it will probably warrant increased resources. Non penso che il FB sia il diavolo né che FF abbia fatto male a vendere. Tuttavia da utente penso di avere il diritto a non fare i salti di gioia nel constatare che un social network al quale sono affezionato e sul quale mi trovo bene possa cambiare ed assomigliare sempre più ad un altro che mi piace molto meno. @Paolo, che sia necessario monetizzare ne sono assolutamente conscio e sono perfettamente d'accordo. Mi premeva sottolineare il fatto che tutte queste start-up navigano a vista con la sola speranza di essere comprate da un pesce più grosso. E a me pare una cosa triste. Concordo con Elena. che fine fanno i dati? bel problema. Facebook non e' che abbia un brillante curriculum in materia. Concordo anche per un'altra cosa, che non avevo notato e che il commento della suddetta mi ha fatto notare. FF e' un tool di conversazione. Poi: FB ha una politica strana nei confronti degli utenti, certamente poco trasparente. Per contro, non ho mai notato una politica nei confronti degli utenti di FF, il che e' bene. il problema è che a loro di noi non frega niente. a me verrebbe da dire: il giorno che vedo un advert su ff me ne vado. e cosa risolvo? non posso mica scioperare. Sai quanti che non se ne accorgono nemmeno? fb lucra sul nostro bisogno o desiderio, come volete, di socializzare. Lucra per tutte le pubblicità che ci sono su fb.
