Bonnie Bright Bradshaw
Hello everyone. I'm Bonnie Bright Bradshaw of VA. I am a Full Life Coach, Ordained Minister, Speaker, Author. I am interested in learning about social networking. Any help? bonniebrightbradshaw@gmail.com

Hi Bonnie, you can get free info from our website www.TribeStrategies.com Social media is a great way to get your writing out there. Have you heard about ezinearticles.com? I have several authors I work with that put articles up on that site - it's a great one. - Maryann

I myself am a author at ezine articles, it is a great way to get your sites indexed into the search engines very fast by writing articles that are relevant to your site or blog, also by... more... - Richard McDonald
Thank you so much. I am using your advice as we speak. - Bonnie Bright Bradshaw from email

I use social media for both ministry and business. As far as ministry, it is a tremendous tool. - Abad A. Perez

Much debate about whether #spotify is worth £9.99/ month. Surely this tells us it's not 4 everyone, but has a market. Like CDs! Go Spotify!
OUCH! That price is crazy! That's more expensive than Last.fm! - Marcos Marado from fftogo
It is, but then again you get access to about a million CDs, as and when you want to listen, as opposed to music Last.FM want to promote. - David Sim
Huh... Paid accounts on Last.fm give you the ability to play what you want, don't they? - Marcos Marado from fftogo
Umm, I'm afraid not... It onlu gives you unlimited access to their personalized radios, not on-demand streaming... - Miguel Caetano
So what's the difference from free and payed accounts for USA residents? It wasn't always like that, was it? - Marcos Marado from fftogo

I was joking about how everyone is getting on the Twitter bandwagon! Here's their profile: http://twitter.com/Comtech... - Mahendra (SkepticGeek)
I can't comment about the quality of that particular company, but I feel the skillset for direct mail, website design, graphic/logo design is different to that required for a social media campaign. - David Sim

Who should lead social media in an organisation? http://4tm-services.com/2009...
Marketing should lead it! However, problem is stupid people run companies in the main and there herein lies the problem! - Andrew from iPod
I think the marketing dept. should lead social media. Although the sales manager will probably do a better job in terms of finding what works and what doesn't. - Abad A. Perez
Practically social media can be used for more than marketing. If the key purpose is to get people to discuss the merits a new technology, for example, the social media engagement may be best placed with the head of research rather than marketing. - David Sim
It doesn't really matter which department is in charge, IMHO. What matters is that the guys behind the keyboards know about communication and that they have to engage in real and "truthful" conversations. - Hendrik Neumann from email

Is Linux ready for the "average" user? - http://digg.com/linux_u...
"It's a good example of how Linux will work well if it's pre-installed, as the driver issues are sorted out. Of course, not many people game or sync their iPhone with a netbook because of its own hardware limitations, so those weaknesses in Linux don't really come up." - David Sim
David Sim
Is Linux ready for the "average" user? - http://digg.com/linux_u...
"It's almost impossible to sync a 3G iPhone with Linux. That's a big weakness, given the take up rate of the iPhone. Dual booting doesn't really cut it - if you have to have Windows anyway, why bother? If you're using Vista, you can lock down the kids. Even on XP by using "dropmyrights" you can virtually eliminate any damage to the system that could be caused, even if they're still using IE." - David Sim

Is Linux ready for the "average" user? - http://digg.com/linux_u...
"I use Linux (Ubuntu) on my netbook and on an aging laptop, and it works well. Tried installing it on my Dell and by default it only gave me 800x600 resolution. Cleverly it offered me the proprietary Nvidia drivers, only now it won't load X at all and gives me a blank screen. It's not a seamless experience yet." - David Sim

Would an increase in participation in microblogging lead to reduction in blogging?
I think so, but I see some kind of marriage between the two. - Mike Lewis
That's happening already, at least since the mass-adoption of Twitter. But I agree with Mike: people are blogging less "quick things", using microblogging for that, and blogging just "extensive thoughts"... - Marcos Marado
I didn't see anyone quitting blogging just for twittering, but I saw a lot of ppl started tumbling instead of blogging... I guess it's the natural evolution of the concept... ps. Is Tumbling the same as microblogging? Or micro is just twitter, jaiku, pownce, plurk, etc? - Alex Barredo
whether it be on paper or virtual there will always be various lengths to reading. From light magazines to heavy books, blogging and micro-blogging will/can co-exist... - Anthony Farrior
Don't think so, microblogging's beauty is its 140 word cap. If u wanna share a really deep insight with well proven points to back it up, u gonna need more than that. - mark
yes, i see people discussing this very topic often. microblogging IS blogging, and better than blogging as you often get an immediate response (plurk is brilliant for that instant gratification factor, why write a blog post about your day when you can say it and get responses from the world in a matter of minutes? - Darren Daz Cox
I think blogging will elvolve to a more 'serious' or at least well thought out and crafted genre and 'haircut' blogs will end up as plurks or tweets etc - Darren Daz Cox
...Perhaps w/ open source micro-blogs (like Identica). When hosting your own micro-blog (or co-hosting as a profitable service) 'picks-up' then standard blogs (and sites like blogger, livejournal) will (imo) have reduced exposure. - Czar
I use microblogging to get an easily understandable idea into the open and get quick feedback, or to share things that might be useful to others. I use blogging if I want to argue a point and get more considered feedback. Of course increasingly there's audio and video blogging too... - David Sim
I really don't see that happening in the circles I run in.......... - ChaCha Fance
seems that microblogging apps re-shaped the way we blog, not reduce the time we devote to blogging. - Jansen Lu

Not sure, they could certainly merge, for example I'm trying to integrate Twitter (as well as FF) into my blog, so I can continue using the likes of Twitter and FF but also get back into blogging. - Kol Tregaskes

I need an awesome password manager. Need it to keep my bank details in and passwords. Right now my password is the same for every website and that needs to change, so anyone?

I have 1password on my Mac. Don't use it though. Because i use windows too. need something cross platform - Gordon Swaby
Try lastpass.com. Works for me. - David Sim
I second lastpass.com. But also you would like the combo KeePass + Dropbox to get synchronized with all your machines. - Leandro Ardissone ⍨

AI Roboform is awesome. The reason why people don't use it is.... it is kinda expensive. But it's worth it. - yezi
I used KeePass for a couple years and really like it, but if you're somewhere the application isn't installed, you're out of luck. I started using LastPass a couple months ago, and I really like it. It goes anywhere there's internet. The form filler it has works pretty nicely as well. - Matt
I use Keepass and i am quite much happy with it - Keshav Khera
I'm giving lastpass a try. - Alan Le
There is KeePass for Windows, KeePassX for Mac, KeepassX for Linux, KeepassJ2ME for mobiles... A lot of ground covered already. Dunno if thr's an iPhone or Android app.. - Rameez Nooruddin from fftogo
Yes. Roboform only $30, but more expensive than free (e.g. KeePass). That's what I mean "kinda expensive". - yezi
Passpack works best for me. Cross-platform and 1-Click login. There is no client-side software necessary. - Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
I would use Roboform. I run the mobile version which runs off a USB key and it works great. - Rob Cairns

Facebook connect to render Friendfeed useless - http://oldskoolmark.wordpress.com/2009...
FacebookConnect.jpg
What do you guys think? - mark
why? - mark
I have to agree with you. Friendfeed is too technical and only answers some of the problems of authentication, data sharing and aggregation. Facebook is ideally placed to be a social media hub, linking to specialist sites like Twitter. FriendFeed may continue to exist, but if won't be mainstream. Great post! - David Sim
