This letter should not be addressed to Hulu, though. The contracts with the studios dictate all of these types of measures. The blog post here blows off the licensing requirements, but a company like Hulu either has to 100% comply with the restrictions, or gets no content for anyone. That's a very fair point, but when Hulu is what consumers see, it tends to be hard to think about back end contracts and licensing restrictions. I suppose the bigger issue is really why international citizens can't access that content to begin with. Hulu probably has zero chance of negotiating international rights. Those rights are very very hard to come by, and impossible for free. So they can either exist as they are, as a compromise, or not exist. - Stephen Mack
