i would say, save the blogging for later when you have time to actually write something meaningful rather than just blogging for the sake of it, that's what twitter is for, small nuggets of info that you want to share but that is not necessarily enough to blog about

Another option is to use the tag feature. Each tag you have in Reader you can expose as a separate feed. That feed is also PubSubHubbub enabled. So you could only retweet when you apply that tag to an item.
