"It seems to me that the problem isn't so much the school board, because their hands are tied--unless the public can create alternatives to the re-zoning. You have to address this at a higher level--the county commissioner. Its unfortunate that the county commissioner and the school board in williamson county won't raise taxes $250 per household to: 1) improve the education in Williamson county and invest in the future of the area 2) curb and solve the violence and gang problem. The gang problem at that school is a travesty that partitally lays on the hands of those irresponsible officials. Supporting education with tax dollars in this case is a) a tough on crime issue b) it solves long term poverty, welfare, and violence.
