I'd forgotten that I got stopped and searched recently! Very frustrating. I don't agree that people should be forced through this solely to "provide racial balance", but is the alternative that police should only harass people based on skin colour? I'd like to know how successful stop & search has been as a preventative measure full-stop.

I've no interest in this article... the only reason I'm sharing this is because of the Gaslight Anthem ad at the bottom of the page! Fucking sell outs, of course, but still buy their album losers! X x x

Apple boast of Macworld editors nominating iPhoto 09 best in show at Apple-only expo, Macworld. That's several layers of pointless there.

I didn't get the chance to vote for him, but after seeing this video I wish I did so I could now regret doing so. The foul, foreign swindler!

Masterful account of a life spent wandering by photojournalist, Jim Lo Scalzo. A mixture of passages from his book, still images and video, this is an incredibly moving short film and definitely worth watching.

"Fair enough, Windows users would probably find Ubuntu more familiar than OSX on first use - but I don't think the UI is really what's stopping people from moving over from Windows to Linux, or encouraging people to move over to a Mac for that matter. Well, except for the aesthetic value which is where Ubuntu fails. Really, who is this article written for? Most of the stuff he says will go so far over the head of the person he's seemingly appealing to that he may as well have written it in binary."
