I know exactly how you feel. What's a person to do? I am mad at Twitter for suspending some of my accounts. First, the accounts kept causing the password to reset, then they were suspended, all around the time of the DOS attacks. All I ever used Twitter for was to advertise my businesses, and for fun. Now I don't know where to go.

I think a lot of people LOVE to think negatively and don't want to think positively. They think FB is BAD and will ruin FF, but I think if they do it well, FB won't be the bad guy. I think most people who are irked about this are irked because they think the FFers "sold out" to the "man".

Let's not call people idiots simply because they seem to us to be making idiotic decisions. They probably just have drastically different priorities and fears than ours. They may limit their information to other like-minded individuals or to a single news feed like Fox. But to attack people as idiots simply ensures they'll dislike you and give them more reason to consider disliking your preferred (presumed) candidate. We need to be accepting. #surname Reed (my married name) has both irish and english antecedents. It also has a connection to the Swiss version 'Rhorer' which interestingly enough is family name of my mother's people. My side is from the McCleods (scots) O, and it means red-haired or ruddish or the old english meaning a clearing in the woods. (Sorry. @Jeremiah I didn't "read" your directions clearly. ;) )

Some excellent points in this article. I'd add that a CM needs to be adept at multitasking - holding any number of conversations at once is something I find myself doing a lot. I also dislike the title 'Community Manager' to be honest. Most people take that to mean that I'm a 'mod' instead of the contact point for communication.
