Locking And Unlinking Fields You can achieve this by locking the field. To do so, select the field and press Ctrl-F11. From then on, the field will retain its value, even after you update it. To unlock the field, select it and press Ctrl-Shift-F11. Similarly, it is possible to unlink a field. In this case, the field ispermanently removed and replaced by its current value, which fromthen onwill be treated as normal text. To do this, first make sure that the field is up to date, then select it and press Ctrl-Shift-F9. This is a one-way action - there is no way to convert the text back to a field later. - Paul Delhanty
