John (bird whisperer)
Had she lived, today would have been my maternal grandmother's 100th birthday.

The love she had emits from the photos. - Janet:#TeamMonique from FFHound!
Indeed. :-) I do wish I'd had a chance to get to know her as an adult. - John (bird whisperer)
She looks like she was a very loving, involved grandmother :o) xxxxx - Headless Gnad Kicker
PS. Lookit cute little John!!! - Headless Gnad Kicker
Those little beach toys are ADORABLE! My kids would LOVE those. - Zulema ❧ spicy cocoa tart
I don't remember the red one, but I remember the others being fun to play with. - John (bird whisperer)
I think we had those for my daycare sandbox (which was huge). I remember really liking the funnel one, though I don't remember what it did, other than be a funnel. Those are both great pictures with your grandmother <3 - Jennifer Dittrich
the funnel was a mold for the sand castles' roofs :-) - Starmama from FFHound(roid)!
It looks like the funnel on the red toy turned the gears below it as you poured the sand in. I'm not sure if I understood that concept back then, though. :-) There were a few other toys (probably acquired later) that served as sand castle molds. - John (bird whisperer)
The cute and the sweet in the first picture are tremendous. Do you have it framed in your house? Because awww! - Starmama from FFHound(roid)!
I think these photos were originally on slide film, which my dad scanned a while back. There aren't prints of either of these (that I know of), but I do have some other prints of her. - John (bird whisperer)
