dream on dude. unions just pretend to protect your "rights" to be unproductive until the company can no longer afford it. then the union will get you a "fair" severance package. overall membership in unions is at all time low in America, which is why the anti-corporate left is looking to introduce the "employee free choice act." http://www.heritage.org/resear... as a way to bully more people into joining these ridiculous entities. - Claude Betancourt
Ugh, so I didn't get it 'coz of the Beer reference? duh :) - Yuvi
My favorite C&H strips are the ones with the snowmen though. Those are superlative. The other strips are merely fantastic. http://www.angelfire.com/wa/zz... - J. Phil

90% of all hummus lovers also believe that the sun revolves around the Earth. You're crazy. You just like hummus more because it's easier to spell. - l0ckergn0me
The verdict is in! Thanks guys! I'm off to get some hummus. YEAH! - Mona N.
Yes yes, Chris, the grassy knoll, bigfoot and other conspiracy theories. :D Hummus > babaganoush. - Mo Kargas
Only In A Database Can You Get 1000% + Improvement By Changing A Few Lines Of Code. In this case the query run time went from 24 hours+ to 36 seconds!!! - Denis
Maybe it's the truth. Sounds sad. But true... Strange obituary, tho. - Ester "hoshimem" Memoli
I'm writing a novel right now called the obituary writer and have interviewed obituary writers and read many a obituary at this point - i have to say that is simply classic. Hilarious. - leigh himel
Leigh, good luck with the novel, let us know when its finished - Denis
Hopefully one day, Denis!. But it's very interesting - obituaries tend to reflect our society and as we continue to open up our personal lives (ala technology) I wonder if we will see more of these unconventional and potentially far more honest reflections of our lives in things like written memorials. You simply wouldn't have seen something like this (whether pple think it's sad, or funny like i do) 10 or 20 yeas ago...... - leigh himel
you need to pretend, like your life depended on it, that you DID plan whatever good thing that happens. Just my 2 cents. My 14th is coming up. - Josh Haley
I used to have an entire book of these kinds of questions. Stuff like: would you rather drink a bucket of monkey snot or have a charlie horse on the bottom of your foot forever? - Akiva Moskovitz
@Akiva - I can watch it quicker than 24+ hours :P - Yuvi
I KNEW you'd understand, Yuvi :) Original trilogy is SO far ahead of its time, amazing. Isn't it? - Mona N.
@Mona - it is. Darth Vader is, indeed, a deep character. - Yuvi
That presumption about Darth Vader fades away pretty quickly when you watch the prequels. - Mark Trapp
@Mark - You suggesting I shouldn't watch the prequels? (Haven't yet) - Yuvi
Yuvi, I don't know: I guess you should for completeness. I liked the mystery of not knowing everything about pre-A New Hope. Lucas really lays it out bluntly in the prequels with no real room for interpretation or imagination. Suffice it to say, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader as laid out in the prequels was nowhere near the one in my head when I saw the first three as a kid. - Mark Trapp
It's not really that deep of a franchise, but like the Matrix, it makes it look like there's more there than there actually is. If you really start to explore it, you'll only be disappointed. ;) (And I LOVE Star Wars) - James Williams (willia4)
@James - Yes, the 2nd and 3rd Matrix movies were #suckit - Yuvi
@Mark, I disagree about Darth Vader not being deep. However, I firmly believe the prequels never happened. - Rob Diana
Yuvi -- Well, even the "depth" of the first Matrix movie can't withstand the scrutiny of a freshman philosophy student. ;) Entertaining? Absolutely. Deep and intellectual? Nope. - James Williams (willia4)
Rob, if you discount the prequels, your imagination can run wild with what the deal is with Darth Vader. Prequels included, he's boiled down to more or less whiny and impulsive with one gigantic bad choice. - Mark Trapp
Never was into samurai space opera ;-) - Slippy Lane
Very deep. Lucas was inspired by the writings of the wonderful Joseph Campbell - a mythology scholar - Lucas tapped into universal mythic themes for Star Wars. Check it out: (http://www.folkstory.com/artic...) - (steve isaacs)
Deep? *Jar Jar comes to mind, along with squeaky aliens and cutesy emotional robots * Really? :D - Mo Kargas
Share on twitter and it will show up on FF - Denis
Twitter is for large blast; non-visual links, no commentary needed. or BS status updates that aren't that interesting. FF is for group commentary, esp. for items with visual components that can be included via bookmarklet. - dave mcclure
(and yes I know Twitter also gets republished via FF) - dave mcclure
I'd like to think that the folks on FF, at least at present, are a bit more tuned in. Twitter makes it hard to stay tuned in, partly because of numbers. - Chris Brogan
I sometimes also comment here if I want to vent/comment, but not answer about it in the general public. For instance, I'm sick of SXSW panel picker pimping requests. Won't tweet about it, but here? I feel safe commenting about it. - Chris Brogan
Yea, I feel like most follow more people on Twitter so it's easier to miss something. I would like to be able to add everyone I follow on Twitter to my FF, but no way to automatically do that yet. - Johnny Makkar
ok, super stupid and noob question, but how do you put images in your FF posts? - JungleG
Is there a different set that follows you on ff? Smaller, more intimate? Do a few offical heavyweights NOT follow you here who do on Twitter? Then post less official stuff here. Want to send a drip of traffic to a friend with a home server? FF. - Ed Shaz/NextInstinct
I type reports into Twitter only a few times a week. I let my other social services update my Twitfeed. I post links to FriendFeed or billso.StumbleUpon.com, depending upon my comments and the content. - Bill Sodeman via twhirl
