I am shopping for service now that my neighbor decided to lock down his wireless network. Im finding service to be way more expensive than expected.

Using Comcast, 3 in 1 bundle, so $33.33. It's pretty good and fairly reliable, just as long as you get the latest router and modem. One downside is that Comcast is pinching speeds or even access to P2P networks.
- Rene Wirtz
There's a 7-11 nearby. It's just Kuma tastes so much better than Red Bull (or any of its equivalents except Bawls but that stuff's expensive) or Starbucks Double Shots.

not really. their goal is to get ratings and get people to repost their videos so they get more ratings. they're succeeding quite well at that.

""The new device is an improvement over the old device, making it more attractive for purchase by all Americans," said Thomas Wakefield, a spokesperson for the large conglomerate that manufactures the new device. "The old device is no longer sufficient. Consumers should no longer have any use or longing for the old device." Added Wakefield, "The new device will retail for $395." Able to remain operational for longer periods of time and occupy a demonstrably smaller three-dimensional space, the new device is so advanced when compared to the old device that it makes the old device appear much older than it actually is. However, the new device is reportedly not so radically different as to cause confusion or unwanted anxiety among those familiar with the feel of the old device. "Its higher price indicates to me that it is superior, and that not everyone will be able to afford it, which only makes me want to possess it more," said Tim Sturges, owner of the old device, which he obtained 18 months ago when it was still the new device."

I only listen to the radio. I killed my tv five years ago.
- Joe
I abandoned regular TV watching about a decade ago and regular radio listening about 5-yrs. ago (at the time it was news radio only). Not much lost because of podcasting options and I also watch some TV via Hulu now. It's really just shifting technologies with the same content.
- Kenley Neufeld

Radio... TV is actually improving, oddly enough.
- Adrian
Radio, of course. You could listen to podcasts, Pandora, Last.fm, Slacker, Live365 - why on earth would you need radio?
- Nathan Chase
I don't watch tv now. We haven't had cable in 6 months. I use the internet. But if it was a choice between traditional, probably radio. All things being equal, of course.
- Sheryl
TV. Radio is a much better source for in-depth information and artistic coverage, when you choose the right sources. Television has the potential to be more informative, but that has mostly been squandered, IMHO.
- Mark "Godt Nyt Ǻr"
It's a done deal: TV and radio. Like Sheryl, I rely on the Internet entirely.
- Melanie Reed
TV is flourishing these days. A LOT of the content is VASTLY superior to movies, and has been that way for at least 5 years now. TOP 40 Radio is a fucking disgrace to music, business, popular culture, Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, the human race, and Earth in general. If you happen to be someone that listens to top 40 radio on a daily basis, please do yourself a favor and AT LEAST get satellite.
- LarchOye
Radio. The stations are so homogeneous at this point that I feel like I rarely get anything from it.
- Jennifer Dittrich
both, unless you are grouping personal music collections in with the radio, then TV only. Otherwise I already don't watch TV and when not in a contract with a service provider don't even subscribe to anything. And as for radio, I don't listen to anything broadcasted, I listen to my iphone
- Kamala Whitaker
I am shocked that in todays world this is even a question/debate. Sure I listen to the morning radio show occasionally on my way in to the office but if I had to give it up all together I really don't think I would even notice. In short, radio.
- Nicholas Kreidberg
I did abandon radio years ago. I love TV, but for music I've found much better ways to listen to music and be exposed to new music than radio.
- Andrew C
Radio. Besides much of what's said before, I also can't give up my video games (while I'm usually PC gaming, there's lots of games I have on my console). Also, my car radio is broken and I don't want to pay to get it fixed (gg iPod!).
- Arlan Koizumi
All you people that said radio, what do you listen to in the car?
- J. Abdul-Qahhar
For me, I mentioned iPod. :) Either a Genius selection of a favorite genre or on rare occasions a podcast.
- Arlan Koizumi
I don't drive. And I listen to my iPod. But your question reminds me of Liz Lemon. "Steven: Sorry, I don't own a TV. Liz: Really, what do you sit and look at?"
- Andrew C
I don't own a tv and I have a Sirius/XM subscription, so I guess tv.
- Katy S
TV. The radio I would preserve is not traditional radio. I'm talking about only NPR and satellite.
- Kamilah Gill
I have already abandoned both, TV was first, back in 2003, then a strange dialup modem quirk required me to play music constantly to stay connected (stupid combo modem/soundcard), which lead to me playing mp3's in winamp 24/7.
- April Russo (app103)
I've bailed on both for the most part.

Looking for suggestions: My wife doesn't gamble but wants to go to Vegas. She would like to get pampered at some spas however. We'll have a 2 1/2 year old in tow. For this trip, I don't care that much about gambling or poker. This will be in January so an indoor pool (or well heated) would be nice...
We have a medium-ish budget 100-150 a night?
- Carl Haynes
I don't know of any indoor pools in Vegas. Maybe The Paris or the Venetian would fit in your budget. New York, New York has pretty low prices and lots of stuff to do that isn't gambling.
- Admiral Anika
We'll go during the week when its cheaper (and will avoid CES week)
- Carl Haynes
Paris or Venetian might work, aren't they all suite hotels? are they "suite" and in just one room or real suites?
- Carl Haynes
Bellagio? Depends on where there's a good bargain rate, to me.
- Stephen Mack
Yeah it may be that I'm overthinking it...
- Carl Haynes
In my experience, it doesn't really matter where you stay since you walk around and go to various places anyway. The hotel you stay is pretty much just where you come back to sleep/relax, so pick a place that is convenient and has a good price. And AFAIK, all of the pools are outdoors.
- Rochelle
I think the Venetians rooms are a joke to be called suites. They're rooms, but they're cheap. I tend to stay at the Las Vegas Hilton. You can get an actual suite at The Riviera for cheap, but it's not a super nice hotel. The Strat also has super cheap room, but they also have super nasty rooms. Depending on what spa(a) she wants to visit, you may be better off looking into hotel families. Some will give you a free shuttle to a sister hotel or even discounts.
- Admiral Anika
The Bellagio and The Wynn hotels are very anti-family. They do not like strollers around and will ask you to show room keys or point of visit if you linger too long.
- Admiral Anika
My wife and I thought the MGM Grand turned out to be a good choice last time we were there. It's also convenient if you take in Cirque du Soleil's KÀ which, by the way, was worth every penny - mind-blowingly fantastic. The theatre for KÀ is inside the MGM hotel.
- Micah Wittman
Mandelay is nice. But it's hard to go wrong with any Hotel on the strip with a spa. And I agree with Micah above. And tickets4tonite has good discounts on KA (not all the time though).
- Dario Gomez
Oh when in Jan are you there? I'll be there Sat thru Monday Jan 23 to 25.
- Dario Gomez
Not set yet, I'm looking toward the mid to end of the month, mostly depends on when I can get a cheap flight and no big conventions. I'll let you know if we overlap!
- Carl Haynes
whatever you do, visit the fatwallet.com travel forums for the most up to date special rates for all the strip hotels. it will save you bank.

STATUS REPORT — Late Night: 38 tracks @ 3 hours and 7 minutes / Early Morning: 34 tracks @ 3 hours and 18 minutes. That's a total of 72 tracks @ 6 hours and 15 minutes. I am THIS close to finally being done with this beast. EXCITED AND STUFF.
Jimminy, right after I'm done with Late Night/Early Morning, the first Ghostmouse mix will be up. No plans for a new Bassmouse but it's just a matter of time for that.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Jason, except for the first four tracks or so, it's pretty much completely different from when you heard it. It's dark, vast, and cold now. Some people got a preview listen on Friday night and it was loved so much that SOMEONE tried to STEAL a copy of it!
- Akiva Moskovitz
A man who doesn't even play video games calling my opinion worthless? Rating Wall-E better than Up is crazysauce!
- Alex Scoble
What Jon said. I loved Wall-E and Eve as characters, but the story wasn't my style. I love Up.
- Derrick
Alex, you speak and act like a child. I cannot tolerate you. Go away.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Well, they both made me cry but that's just because I'm a GIRL.
- Rochelle
Rochelle, me too. Up made me cry the most, though. In the theatre. Behind my 3D glasses.
- joey
Good grief, Akiva. :) I used the word "love". I thought Incredibles was better. Monsters, Inc. was good. I didn't love Up as I thought it was too dark and slow. Wall*E was good but only worth seeing once.
- Louis Gray
Up was the closest I've gotten to crying since Where the Red Fern Grows.
- Jon, the Chilled Beartato
I still haven't seen Incredibles, sadly. I need to do that! And I finally saw Cars the other week.
- joey
Oh, good gravy, Gray. Incredibles was like Joe Versus the Volcano. The first act was great; the rest was rubbish. I am scoffing! LOOK AT ME SCOFF.
- Akiva Moskovitz
SCOFF THIS. I AM DELETING MY ACCOUNT. (Can we replay that? I missed it yesterday)
- Louis Gray
Oh yeah, Cars was lame too. Bring it on.
- Louis Gray
LOL I love how Akiva's is resorting to making stuff up about me now. And Akiva, your opinion means less than that of a person who owns Bose now. Dissing Cars is just wrong...it had Michael Schumacher in it...SCHUMACHER!
- Alex Scoble
whoa, I ain't even seen Up yet and I'm kinda doubting that.
- Richard Lawler
I agree with the original sentiment. I mean, I loved Up, and it was really touching, but dang if I don't have a soft spot for cute little robots... :)
- Cheryl Jones
I loved the robots in Wall-E, it was the people I had a problem with.

I'm shocked that this sort of mob-mentality, non-tech-related drivel is ALLOWED! YOU ARE KILLING THE GOLDEN GOOSE WITHYOURSOFTHUMANBRAINS!
- WorldofHiglet
The first 30 minutes of Wall-E were brilliant... apparently, the director had his team watch Chaplin, Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton to get it right. And the sound effects are insanely good.
- T. Brent, technopeasant
"Up" was better... :o) never cried to an animated movie before, - i did to this..
- Jeannette Høvring
I liked Wall-E a *lot* on first viewing it the theater. Now that we have it on DVD and have watched it a dozen or so times with out toddler, I find the first dialogue-less segment fantastic, and the rest of the movie lackluster and cliche. Oh, but it still blows the socks off "Cars"
- Steve "Daddy do it!" Lacy
I was going to leave a standard comment about Wall-E being slightly better than Up, though they're both pretty awesome, but instead I opened up the full thread and I'm backing away... slowly... *retreats into sketchbook*
- Kamilah Gill
Hell no. Up was much better then Wall-E.
