I definitely share this sentiment. It's one thing to gather a consensus or poll of twitter users. It's a different thing entirely to open up the floor to poorly spelled, misinformed opinions from people on a computer. Cut these people off and give real commentators more time to talk instead of constricting them to canned talking points.

I got two of these. WriteRoom is one of my favourite composition apps. It has helped me focus and overcome some nasty writing blocks. Shovebox is a cool idea too, but I probably won't be using it much.

Darnit. Just last year EA was starting to look like a new company willing to take on risk to put out new IP. Mirror's Edge and Dead Space were big risks. One paid off, but I hate to see cool games like Mirror's edge get the cold shoulder due to a risk averse development strategy.

Usability > Style. Google won't make their interfaces stylish unless they aid or at least fail to hamper the usability of their products.

That's a ton of money for a video game. I've been playing Forza 3 lately, it looks unbelievable. I would be floored if it looks any better.

It's cool in theory, but it's such a dumb idea. I'd like it better if it took an image of your alpha and beta waves (indicating sleepiness). That would make sense for a couch. For all we know, this dude imaged here was thinking "mmm... cheese."

The author here is trying to wax poetic. Obviously inspired by the iMac video yesterday :P. It's still awesome news, I'm sick of XP and can't wait to interact with new software in the office :)

It's funny, people will read this article and think "omg tablet". However, when you think about it, the patent describes the pinnacle of industrial research and development that integrates engineering, mathematics, computer science, biology, and psychology. There are apparently some great minds over at cupertino, ca.
