HP has not sold anything yet. It seems the CEO put all the options on the table. I can link to some techtarget article from today that was actually good, if you are interested.

I just copied and pasted Gruber's actual quote: "Google seems to feel entitled to copy whatever it wants. Android copies the UI from the iPhone. Places copied data from Yelp. Google+ copies from Facebook. Their coupon thing is a clone of Groupon. And yet it’s Google that acts as though it has been offended when these competitors fight back."

the relative engagement in Google+ is also due to the novelty of the platform -I think in a huge way-. Scoble is a big "strange attractor" in this new channel so the tendency to comment/share is bigger now, don't you think?

I think Scobles very right - I'm putting my family on google+ so we can do video chat for free over Skype - its also awesome for business video conferencing
- CHRIS VOSS
Scoble Vic said on TWIG that the video codec has not been selected yet and they are testing several different ones. So to say this video is best of breed could be premature.
- adolfo foronda
@LauraNorvig: Yep, I've talked about the FriendFeedization of Facebook, they got used to likes, events, link sharing (although most don't remove the URL from the publisher before posting). We must not forget that with time, users are evolving as more productive users and that they use more tools when forced into daily pageviews and such.

WHY are we hearing the gentlemens comments who HASNT tried Google+ As respectfully as I can say it, it seems hes left making up talking points without the information of experience.

Buzz exists for feed importing, I don't see why it would be forced into + as it helps people focus on manual sharing/writing. Information overload fixed temporarily.
- Zu from AOD
Conversations start from inputs that often come from other feeds. Those need to be imported.
- Todd Hoff
my friendfeed was left for dead and used only for aggregation.
- Kevin Mullett
@Todd it depends. Since I spend so much time on Friendfeed, I enjoy seeing aggregated stuff, even from people who no longer converse there. Plus has to decide what it is, what it is for. Can't have cake and eat it too.

- Todd Hoff
Maybe when developers get a hold of APIs there will be some killer client overlay thingy. So I can see ONE of what someone posted in multiple places but ALL of the conversations on ALL of the platforms. I wish.
- Laura Norvig
dont we all communicate toall top brands on twitter & not email ???
- Abhijeet Desai
Email is like a call control setup. It's starts the conversation between unknown parties. Try contacting you don't know without email. It's nearly impossible. After you connect then you skype, chat, or whatever.
- Todd Hoff
Messages to a known address that I control and can use cross platform? No that is not going away.
- Kevin Mullett
All subscription systems needs an email. Maybe not for discussion between friends, but businesses are using it a lot, sometimes just so they don't use a public email system and have internal discussions. Could be done in a 'corporate social network', but I don't see that soon.
