It's pretty great. I have a Panasonic G10 tv connected to the internet through my router. I press a button on the remote, select Amazon Video, and get a list of movies and tv shows for rent. Quality is good, prices vary, and it can't be any more convenient than this. Probably going to cancel NetFlix.

I thought it was pretty neat that I could either watch the movie on my computer (hooking the laptop up to the HDTV would work) or download via the Xbox. Netflix on the Xbox looks like crap at my place, but works great on the laptop connected to the TV.

You may be doing it wrong somehow, Netflix looks notably better on any of the hardware players as compared to the web stream via a PC. Were you watching the same movies?

Yes, Richard. I've had this conversation before (not necessarily with you). Movies on my laptop are crystal clear. No buffering, no problems. Movies via Xbox looks like a 10 year old VHS, and then it stops to buffer every 8 - 20 min.

Hmm, it may be an ISP thing also, the way they cache can sometimes affect the stream for different devices, one of our guys can't get HD on the xbox in his apartment, but can via any other device, it's just like that sometimes, but whatever works.

Well, I"m not losing sleep over it. It's just as easy to hook my computer up to the TV as it is the Xbox. :)
