My picture isn't likely to appear in an ad aimed at black South Africans, so what? Someone thought a black person wasn't right for the Polish version of the ad. We only know this because it was handled so poorly. But, if a different original were selected, would anyone have complained that blacks were being excluded? I think not."

It is most certainly racism, whatever the motivations, but it's not racial prejudice or bigotry, which are the real evils.

charlestm, et al.: I know this is off-topic and further that SC isn't the most advanced of states but: USC at least has a Greek Village with 9 sorority houses and 11 fraternity houses. The land belongs to the university, though the houses are privately owned. Are you referring to house ownership particularly?

Plenty of people still use it. I was forced to join because an organization I'm in uses it exclusively for group communication. Before that I was against any kind of those social networking sites. If you're a student, it's no secret that FB dominates every campus out there, so you've got to use it. FF is just a speck on the map, that some of the bigger geeks have come to endorse.

I love Facebook because all of my non-IT friends are on there. It's the only way I can communicate with them! But as for the app invites... most of them are useless. I've been ignoring invites for a while now.. And only install useful apps, like the Friendfeed one. There's also a very useful app that stars Chris. ;)
