"That was more about hating to launch another pun on the title. So no, not that illogical. I wonder, do you just enjoy going through archives to nitpick people?"

"Where are the original black heroes, or for that matter, *minority heroes*, in mainstream media? There are a handful, but certainly not anywhere near their white counterparts. You may not be intending to be racist, but your comments are woefully ignorant."

"Not sure what you're talking about, if anything the movie sort of tones down the blood-painting of the comics. (We saw several clips already at Comic-Con)"

"It's definitely not the worst Bond film ever, but my disappointment comes from it following one of the best Bond films (and action films) in recent memory. Wasted potential is often more heartbreaking than a movie that you knew was going to suck beforehand."

"@TheCritic The desert finale was so hilariously bad :P @Muth I can see why you like it, but trust me, I've already picked this film apart. I liked how the film brought back Mathis, but he was used like a prop, and developed a really odd crush on ol' James in the process. His final scene with Bond in the movie made me laugh, more than anything else :P I also agree that the bigger implications of the plot are interesting, but the movie completely failed at setting things up properly. The enjoyment you're getting from the plot is more what your mind is giving you (just like The International :P), rather than what's actually on screen."

"I'm perfectly fine with a dialog-free action fest, but the problem is that the movie didn't give us much else to latch onto. The action wasn't very good, character motivations were completely baffling, and the actual plot just kind of stunk. I didn't need a grand villain either. Compare Casino Royale's Le Chiffre to Quantum's Dominic Greene (that name still kills me since he's an eco-villain). Le Chiffre was menacingly intelligent, but not a "die-hard" villain. Hell, that movie didn't even allow Bond the catharsis to get even with him. The difference is that in CR, Le Chiffre proves to be truly menacing, whereas in Quantum we're constantly told how dangerous Greene is, but he never gets a chance to prove it. And that final fight? Come on. If there was any Bond film that truly didn't stick to any formula, that would be Casino Royale. That movie doesn't even fit in the mold of most action films, what with its out-of-nowhere fourth act extravaganza."

"I've tried again and actually ended up liking it *slightly* more than I did in the theater. Then again, that was probably because it was easier to take in Forster's erratic action direction. Still a huge disappointment for me :/"

"Compare the film to Casino Royale and there is a clear difference in quality. Quantum's action was terrible looking for the most part (the rooftop chase and opera shoot out were the best the film had to offer), and the film lacked a decent villain, plot, and at many points, even dialogue."

"Sony has yet to fuck up? Need I remind you of UMD, Beta, Minidisc (in America), and their failure to adapt to the MP3 market? :P They have a long history of formats that go nowhere. I don't think this will be a failure on the level of some of those, but it's clearly aimed at a very niche market."

"I'm sure it'll take off in theaters, but the question is will 3D be a significant enough addition for consumers to go the extra mile to get it at home. I think not. It took Blu-ray a while to catch on, and now they're asking for yet another upgrade? Most likely, most consumers will forgo the 3D extravagance in exchange for more convenient access to films via streaming. That doesn't require too much of a hardware upgrade on their part, and is currently being brought in to their homes via several trojan horses."

"That's the thing Brendon, it's only going to be hardcore movie fans jumping on this thing. That's not a sustainable way to build a platform. Most likely we'll see Avatar, and a few other major releases, coming out for 3D BR, but even among movie fans the hardware investment may not be worth it."

"You got two hours with Jason Reitman, hush your mouth ;) That After Dark ep will show up at some point when we need to take a break."

"If you listen to the review, that's not what I was saying at all. I emphasized that killing nazis was *meant* to be enjoyed, but that doesn't mean that there are no other interpretations. I was just saying that it's incorrect to assume that we're not meant to enjoy the nazi killing, it's key to Tarantino's audience reaction."
