"The official who spoke did so on condition of anonymity, saying they did not want to pre-empt a text-message announcement the Obama campaign promised for Saturday morning." ROFLMAO! What they meant is that they didn't want to be CAUGHT pre-empting. - Dewald Pretorius

"Jesse,
I was one of the very early adopters of Laconi.ca and have created http://wheremomschat.com using the software. Not a lot of activity on the site yet, but it's there ready to be used. :)

"Duncan,
My http://wheremomschat.com/ site is one of the first niche implementations of Laconi.ca, focused on mothers.
I've also created a federated microblogging directory, where owners of Laconi.ca sites can list their sites in the appropriate categories, to make finding them a bit easier. The directory is located at http://www.microblogindex.com/.
Best regards,
Dewald" - Dewald Pretorius
That's one helluva pool. I'd love to swim in that thing. - Thomas Hawk
I've never understood people having pools by the ocean - clarke thomas
@clarke, clean, fresh, right there, and unlikely to harbour riptides that will drown your children. Oh and private - use your imagination folks. Personally I prefer the sea but a pool is nice too. - John Samuelson
@john: only pools I like are those in Bondi, Australia and the like...ocean fed pools on the ocean where the waves come over top as well. Years of competitve swimming, and I do not like chlorine/borine. people drown in pools too. just don't understand people who go to the beach on vaca or 2nd residence, and sit on beach, but swim in pool. - clarke thomas
crazy pool. How long would it take to swim it? - jon
I guess the pool is for the less adventurous who might fear the ocean. - Michael Tefft
I like swimming in the ocean...but my wife's skin has a bad reaction to the saltwater....so she prefers pools - Sean McGee
