I'm assuming some kind of music video. This is a popular dance/activity of some kind...I think in Jamaica. There was an epidemic of broken weiners as a result. (this is not a joke)

I'm going with an 8. His legs clearly separated during the aerial pelvic thrust and his arm placement was clearly off before the landing.

Dude...that video is just...WTF. I thought I'd seen it all, but they're just blatantly miming all types of innapropriate shit to the nth degree
- Rah-PM 2012
That video made my netherbits hurt just watching it. :-/

Probably hasn't been heard of since because you can actually BREAK YOUR WINKY! Which is highly disturbing to me. Hence why I would never even think of doing this. I treasure my winky, along with a relatively small number of other individuals.

It looks like people are solving it, so hopefully I'm not spoiling it: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Tab, Return. It's a variation of the Konami code (which nets you 30 lives in Contra) adapted for the keyboard. Figured out the first part from Paul's clue, but it took going through the minified Javascript to figure out a) that they didn't use the original Konami code like Google does and b) what they used for keyboard equivalents for "select" and "start."
- Mark Trapp
AWESOME! but didn't the code net you 99 lives?
- Keith - @tsudo
In Contra it was 30; not sure what it was in other Konami games.
- Mark Trapp
hahah man that's intense. i guess they know their audience :)

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja: U U D D L-Button R-Button L-Button R-Button Start. 30 lives. I'll never forget that ;p (there also was that B A B A variation too..) GG Mark.

This is clearly not my cat. If this was my cat he's have one arm shoved down into the printer trying to tear up all the internal whirling bits with his bare claws.

even a flat cat... faxes just can't handle the hair. You'd have to shave the cat first, else the hair will burn and stick to the drum... a mess! (I am extrapolating from transparencies, mind, i don't have access to a cat to test)

Europe. I just feel called there in a way I do not to other places. Different cultures but cultures that share some sort of background with mine. I've been to a couple European countries but would like to visit far more. Oceania would probably be 2nd.

I have been to 5, but there is still something in all 7 that would draw me there. I hope to go to Taiwan in in the next year or so for a wedding, and that would bring me to 6 continents. @Neal yea, we really need a FriendFeed meetup. I might be up there for Web 2.0 in March...or we can have one at SXSW if a large number of us are going. Let's plan and get the Upcoming page going.
- Mark Krynsky
@Mark Not gonna make SXSW, but am definitely down for working on an FF get together. March is long enough away to make sure plenty of people have time to plan ahead. I added you on Upcoming so we can start coordinating it. Anyone else interested/want to help set this up?
- Neal "thePuck" Jansons
Maybe we can talk Paul & Bret into letting us invade the FF offices for a meetup in conjunction with Web 2.0? That would be sooooo cool!

Tempted to share something personal but then I still feel awkward because it's something only 3 people I've never met in real life know. So what do you guys think I should do?
Ask yourself, would you want it stored on the internet for ever ? Will there be a situation in the future when public knowledge of this 'thing' will be disadvantageous to you ? :)

I know, it sounds deeper in recordings than in real life, or at least how I sound when I'm speaking. It's sounds just like another voice, but it doesn't sound like "my voice" and that's why I hate it.

Actually, most people feel disconcerted when they hear their recorded voice, it's never the way you imagined it would sound to other people.

Sounds like a useful option, but it would all depend on the quality of the translation. Poor translations have the potential to cause a lot of confusion, misunderstandings and heated arguments.

I'd love to interact with non-English writers on FriendFeed.

You know what would be nice? The ability to DM to a list. Say I make a list of people called SoapMakers, and I find a great soap making resource. I'd like to be able to enter the list name SoapMakers in the 'To' field, and this link would be DM'd to anyone on my SoapMakers list that I'm subscribed to.
Bret Taylor mentioned that was on the to-do list during the press conference. Should be on its way.
- Nathan Chase
While you could use e-mail to spread that information, people like myself don't enjoy getting shared links via e-mail. Distribution Lists would be an awesome idea to quickly share information with a select group. I like the idea.
- Joshua
Brian, these services are all similar to a fashion, but they are used differently. Having some sort of messaging integration in to friendfeed is very key to the survivability of the service, I think. There have been many times when I wished I could talk directly to one person about something and instead had to bring the conversation outside to gtalk or MSN Live which can be an unwieldy process at best.
- Scoble, Alex Scoble
Yes. Much easier than typing in all the names. Just like an email list.
- Rodfather
Nathan Chase, do you have a link to that to-do list? I'm curious what else is on it.
- Rochelle
DM to a Room requires people "Accept" your "invite". Not so in lists.
- vijay
Almost Alex, but not quite. Brian, it pretty much is email, but I don't have the email addy for everyone I follow on FF. You can DM a room (though it's not a DM anymore, just a normal post), but not everyone I want to talk to is in that room. And Rodfather: that's it *exactly*. It just makes sense (to me) to have lists serve multiple purposes like that. One list, two different uses.
- FFing Enigma
I haven't found a use yet to DM someone in Friendfeed oddly enough. In a work context, I could certainly see the need. What are some everyday use cases where you just wouldn't use email?
- Lou Paglia
Lou, I follow 1300 people: I don't have email addresses for everyone. Actually, I only have email addresses for maybe 20 at best. If I'm already encouraged to break people up into lists, why not make those lists usable in more than one way?
- FFing Enigma
@Alex @Tina You both make good points, and I agree that in the context of snacking on the FF river, it's too hard for a crowd hanging out in the river to go off into the corner and have a conversation. In that respect, what Tina proposes is exactly what is needed.
- Brian Daniel Eisenberg
@Rochelle: I think Nathan and I saw it in the same place, Scoble's videos of the demo. You have to go to scobleizer.blip.tv to see them.
- Alejandro
Currently, FF is on a pull-model, i.e subscription. We subscribe to feeds. DMs are push, if I'm not wrong. Therefore, from a architectural perspective, I'm not sure if its such a good idea to mix these models. Perhaps FF can do it in an easy way... but it just goes against the whole subscription/pull model. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
- Ahsan Ali
During press conference (just watched on blip.tv), Bret noted that is on...oh, Nathan said this already. Oops. *grin*
- Ken Kennedy
FriendFeed is one feature short of being perfect for me. That feature is being able to split one's feed into several, so that people can subscribe to just the part of my activity they're interested in. I'd have one with only high-quality, serious stuff, and one with everything.
This would make it easy to filter out all the trivial and personal stuff you're not interested in. Everyone interested in some field, like philosophy, could then split their philosophy postings into a separate feed, and get read by a lot more people, as one doesn't risk being flooded by uninteresting stuff when subscribing.
- Gorm
It might be good to use tags to categorize one's entries.
- Philip Lei
@Rob, current FriendFeed "filters" pick out only one feed at a time, that's not good enough.
- Gorm
@Philip, I don't know how or if that's possible to do with every feed, but in any case, it seems like a lot of work.
- Gorm
Like Rob said "Filters". It's just that there's no HOW-TO page yet to customize feeds to the level you require, for beginners to filter/search. Here's a room about filters which is just catching on - http://beta.friendfeed.com/friendf...
- vijay
Vijay, filters are okay, but what I'd like to see is something else. Call it "aspects". Some are interested in just my philosophical aspect, others my mundane and personal aspect. As for me, I'd love it if everyone set up aspect feeds where they filter out the less serious stuff for me, so that I don't have use my time reading things just to ignore them. I think everyone would benefit from such an aspect system.
- Gorm
"Categories" sound mutually exclusive. I think "aspect" is better, because it is intuitive to think that aspects relate to one another like circles in a Euler diagram (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...) or something. At least, that's how I associate.
- Gorm
Is this room the only place to give feedback? I'd like to push this issue further if I can. Hate to see it just drown in the stream.
- Gorm
The constant jumping down of the feeds/posts in real-time on the beta is annoying (me and a lot of others it appears). If you are mid-page down, why not make the page static (i.e. stop the screen moving when new posts come in at the top but have it scroll down)?
So when you are reading a post you wouldn't see any movement expect for the scroll bar slowly moving downwards (as the posts are moving towards the bottom of the page). The only issue is what would happen if when you get to the bottom of the page, would the post stay on the screen or disappear onto the next page? #betakoltag-sg-gen
- Kol Tregaskes
I like the way the real-time version does it. Things come in at the top, even new comments. But if you're writing a comment it all gets paused. Or if you're scrolling down reading it gets paused.
- Araceli
Araceli, yeah it's for when you are reading and writing. I'm still pondering on a way to do this, any better suggestions? The "jumping" is a little annoying.
- Kol Tregaskes
Can anyone suggest any ideas? I saw Bret comment on a thread saying they are working on the jerkiness, so will see how FF fix it.
- Kol Tregaskes
vijay kindly made me an admin for the FFFilters group but I had no idea of it. It would also be useful to have an "Admin" section on the Subscriptions page showing what groups we are admin on. #betakoltag-sg-searches
- Kol Tregaskes
Zee, that is easily the highest score I've achieved on F> ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
There already sort of is this function. Just send your likes to Twitter. But yeah, might be cool to be able to customize the prefix for likes to Twitter, so you could use "Liked" or "RT" or whatever. Would need the option of including the @name, too.
- Grey Drane
Grey, yep you can share your own posts to Twitter but it would be nice if you could RT anyone's tweet.
- Kol Tregaskes
yeah, you really need to be able to include the @username of the person you're retweeting. Just isn't fair otherwise
- Zee.
No, I hate the re-tweet. I've unfollowed everyone guilty of retweeting,
- Richard A.
Just so I know, you want to be able to take a tweet from Twitter that has come into FriendFeed and push it back to Twitter with the original tweet and a prefix etc... So the person who sees the RT wouldn't have to come to FriendFeed? Is that right?
- Johnny
Kol: You can share others' FF posts to Twitter, too, by sending your "likes" to Twitter, but like I and others have said, it would be better if the @name (when available, since not all FFers will have Twitter accounts) was included in the tweet that gets generated.
- Grey Drane
This would be useful for me when I add Flickr images and then need to replace an image. Heck, I'd be happy if I could delete something from my feed and then when I re-upload/re-add it the original source it gets re-added to my feed. Which isn't the case right now and is really frustrating.
- Araceli
I've suggested that the new share dialog be turned into an edit/delete/share combo and all sharing, deleting and editing of any part of the post can be done from one single box.
- Kol Tregaskes
Do you think stickys should be limited, e.g. by 1 or 2?
- Kol Tregaskes
as long as there's a facility for atleast 1, I don't mind :)
- vijay
I'm bumping this again. I think this would be really useful. The ability to lock, say, up to 3 posts to the top of the feed would be ideal and to switch off commenting on those posts. Sure you can temporarily do this but switching the room's settings but I'm thinking of a permanent lock. I'd be more interested in the locking of comments on selected posts than the sticky part. :-) #betakoltag-sg-groups
- Kol Tregaskes
Kol, we should do a "Top 10 FF beta WANTS" meme.
- vijay
shortcuts - "?", and "l" - as Gmail go to label , to open an Ajax box to display selection of your groups ... Im sure they are working on it ... customizeable shortcuts .. Im sure ... :]
- pb:
vijay, hehe, yeah, though I might have to go beyond 10. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Ofcourse, only admins or maybe only the Room Creator/Super Admin can use it. Even if the system does get comprised, a block will solve it in a click. :)
- vijay
Could do, but you'd hope they are reading your room anyway, hehe. Seriously though, interesting idea. #betakoltag-sg-groups

friendfeedCommentAnchor [v0.1.0] - http://wittman.org/project... - A user script, a bookmarklet and an alternative configuration userscript (has autoCommentAnchor turned ON). To add a permalink to each comment. The hyperlinked text default is "#" (you can change it in the Configuration section to "permalink", "linky", etc in the user script). Works in single post and stream modes. Tested on Firefox and Safari.
- Micah
Special Note ~ Post image: NOT A HASH TAG :)
- Micah
I started the group ffhacks to house a concise listing of user scripts: http://friendfeed.com/ffhacks . If you have a script that works on the current version of FriendFeed, and you're its author, write a comment on http://friendfeed.com/ffhacks... with the link and I'll share the original friendfeed post to the group.
- Micah
Does it only work to other users with the script enabled?
- Andrew Trinh
The anchor is the comment <div> container id which has been there all along; there simply has not been a user interface to conveniently access it. So yes, a URL with the anchor will work for anyone regardless of script usage (tested in Firefox & Safari).
- Micah
ianf, yep. I try anyway. I remember one or two conversations you had anchors - I've wanted access them for a while too. Cheers!
- Micah
#hashanchors should have been there by default, so that you could spend your time on more creative things rather than fixing FF. In fact, absence of this key element of hypertext, granular addressability, tells me that FFeeders really do not care for comments - they're ffodder to the OPs, which are the only ones that rank anything in the hierarchy of submissions around here. I don't...
