Total losses for 2011 were $207M. But they are claiming next quarter might make a $15-35M profit on $510-550M in revs. Or a 3-6% margin.

Maybe local is like spotting oil on the moon -- yes, it has value, but it's just too costly to extract with available human technology.

(Financials aside, I love Yelp the service -- use it constantly -- but these numbers are just bullshit).
What's even more awesome is that Yelp presumably has been losing money for 8 years straight. They were founded in '04. Took $56M in VC.
Also, I love the balls on the IPO crowd these days. 58M in revs, 7M in losses for 9 months. Yelp IPO asks for a cool $100,000,000!
