didn't seem like there wasn't anything epic with RIM remote wipes, was there?

Francine, the problem is that you're still exposed on a service by service basis without a secondary auth method even if you do it on LastPass only. That at least does protect your password library.
- Jerry Schuman
Good lesson to use a good/unique password for your online backup/last line of defense...

Thought: if there was a "Push Gateway" in the cloud for all to consume, it could save battery life and can be transported to all your devices.

Charlie, where do you get this "customer first" nonsense? ;-)
- Tina Chase Gillmor
one good filter: if enough people are talking about it in my Google Reader, then something's up
- Da
LOL - always had a prollem with that too, Tina - until it was a mandate whence I work
- Rocky Barbanica
I feel obligated to post to both Twitter and Facebook if I find an awesome resource. A lot of the *same* people are following me in both places. They have to decide which place to comment on it. One convo goes in one direction, the other goes in another. It's OK, but it's not optimal.
- Laura Norvig
haha Tina, sorry, you're right, my wife is first :)
- Charlie Isaacs
Even though I live in RSS (for Blogs, Twitter, G+, etc), I admit RSS tools do need better filters. Nobody has perfected context and filters.
- manielse (Mark Nielsen)
Path is the same as everything else.
- Laura Norvig
Dave Winer just tweeted "If I were using a Twitter clone, I'd want it to support RSS feeds in both directions, from the start, for everything."
- Charlie Isaacs
Path now lets Arrington nag me about not logging into path. Yay.

The red-faced cable channel had to quickly post a correction, but it was too late. The social media cat, so to speak, was out of the bag and the embarrassing error was whipping around the web. As the nation now knows, the U.S. Supreme Court actually upheld the constitutionality of Obamacare today.
- Denise Howell
There's not much to say about it — other than it's overhyped, not worth the price currently. In the long run, it might be a big winner; but when you have so many investors willing to buy stock in a company that has not really figured out how to make money or is still experimenting and has a CEO who just spent $1 billion on a company without revenues, it is still a BIG RISK at the...

I would like to see a noise filter on memeorandum...how many of the stories are truly important vs. noise ala Huffington Post...give us filters and upvotes Gabe.

- Jerome Hughes
I like Kevin's bird noise drifting into Gabe's space. Kinda funny cause it's Gabe
- Tina Chase Gillmor
YouTube now promotes videos from my G+ social network first and it has been a disaster. Rarely do I see anything interesting anymore. Content based ranking works best for a lot of things.

the crows were triggering Skype silencing people. the doves are OK

Hacker News is doing a great job...like to see more of that model on Techmeme.

Will the Editorial Bots (algorithms, filters, etc.) triumph over people?

We need a way to use parts of someone else's profile. I'd love to save the time it took Robert to like thousands of brands, yet be selective.

When is Netflix going to stream 3D?..just got a 3D tv and looking for more content from services I am paying for already.
- Jim Posner
if "unlimited data" means way more people use your network than you thought would use it and you have to spend Billions to try to make the network be able to keep up, then unlimited data can be a bad decision. Its not a bad decision for users... but it cost lots of bucks to make the network be able to handle the load.

Is there an ongoing revenue stream for AppleTV beyond the initial device sale?
- Murray Macdonald
1-click iTunes sales/rentals and maybe Netflix and MLB subscription revenue

I have two iPads and a Mac Mini, Kevin, and Apple Tv, and I use all of them with my TVs from time to time

can't play Modern Warfare on it though, so it's XBox for us

So I can meaningfully use the device without a subscription, as long as I don't buy premium content?
- Murray Macdonald
Kevin, will privacy be back-fitted into enterprise sharing...#pii
- clive boulton
Murray - yes - you can access content in iTunes on your desktop/laptop - and you can login to existing Netflix/MLB/NBA/NHL accounts and stream that content - and of course use AirPlay from iOS devices
- Ankush Narula

Wow Steve really using his hands today and I didn't even prompt that

I agree with Scoble. We need to take in relevant info while idle. Only part of my time is infront of a screen. I want contextually relevant data while I drive my car and brush my teeth.
- Murray Macdonald
I shouldn't need a new device, just a new app
- Murray Macdonald
iPad are taking off in the enterprise...but device tracking is still an issue from an IT security perspective.
- Jim Posner
Perhaps... It depends on my device and desired content. I should be able to offline content.
- Murray Macdonald
Android apps can run all the time. Let's not be held back by apple limitations.

Tina, Is there an archive of recent shows?
- Jim Posner
until the OS randomly kills them, Murray

they can get remote notifications too though, even if not running

Sometime Highlight comes up and announces that Steve Gillmor is nearby. but mostly it doesn't... even when he is. Not sure how that works

Hi, waiting for the famous call. What will the theme be today? Nokia? Google? Instagram? Real time ambient information? Firebase and Fluidinfo? The freaky line?

Google+ is not an offensive against Facebook or Twitter. It's a defensive move, to unify their scattered product line. Only after they unify will they be able to compete with either Facebook OR Twitter.

Am reminded of the recent documentary on the NYT where at a conference panel David Carr held up the printed homepage of http://www.newser.com/ with all of the NYT articles cut out... there was nothing left on their homepage. Swiss-cheese.

the secret to Al Jazeerah's success is their relationship with people on the ground. When something happens, they are looking to be the 'one' brand for news for people to share the event(s) LIVE until one of their journos gets there to report. Great use of citizen journalism and professional journalism. They build their news sharing model/architecture focussed on the community with a view back to their services for global amplification.

Speaking of Al Jazeera I just got back from DrupalCon where their lead developer did a talk where on how they built out a custom implementation using Drupal. The thing I appreciate most about Flipboard is the instant drilldown and out capability. Example, click on a hashtag and hit Show Section.... instant gratification

Flipboard is nice but they need logic other than sorting by newest content in descending order. I'm a huge fan of Zite which is spot on for bringing me relevant content.
