Boston.Coms The Big Picture rules. There's always good stuff there. Look into some of the previous topics.

I should add for those who look after, I just learned that The Big Picture has shortcut keys (j and k) for navigating from one photo to the other. I aligns the next photo at the top of the screen, so you can view them like a slideshow.

That one "objectionable" picture sure is disturbing... how dare they display such things. ;-)

Awesome, I love what they are doing - I'm in Santa Cruz, too, Rod! I need to force myself to get comfortable on camera so I can participate.

with regards to the YouTube "redshamen" account ... We deleted the account as we hit 1 mil views ... Contrary to any assertion, the material & all of its associated rights belong to "redshamen" ... No AdSense or related monetization was deployed: proprietary, patented content mgt was a success
Measuring "fair use" was but one metric; posting of authorized video was ignored; and, we are happy to have successfully deployed signal fingerprinting, digital watermarking, limited DRM-type controls, etc. A very solid base for delivering control BACK to the artists & their management

"Now these brownies are just dangerous. It made a huge 9x13 pan (and this was halving the recipe) and I ended up freezing most of them. And now for the past couple of months I've been slowly nibbling away at my stash. I love eating them frozen - they're so fudgey, rich and chocolatey. Yum yum dangerous. Of course they're delicious at room temperature too."

This is one of the best food blogs I've seen in a LONG time - double triple bookmarked and subscribed ten times over. Those Cheesecake Pops are so ultra clever.

Friendfeed followers above Twitter followers, couldn't agree more.
- Andrew
I would rather have followers that know how to expoit each media for its singular strengths and develop the ability to cross-over --trans-media-- from one to the other, taking advantage of both fluid, free-form, threaded dialogue [Twitter] and more focused conversation across a multitude of communities [Friendfeed].
- Brad Kligerman
Friendfeed is more conversational. Twitter is more one way. It's not easy to have a conversation and to follow the evolution. It's like saying hello in a crowded space. After a few minutes the person you met is lost in the crowd.

What the "If you want more followers on Twitter and friendfeed here's what to do:” list is missing something - A tool / info to get people to be able to have a better conversation via Twitter - something along lines of TwitterScope, but within Twitter. If forums can do it, why not twitter? Maybe twitter is designed to be that way. Certainly it cna be used in an announcement way, to then link to a more conversational engaging place. Like friendfeed!
- Tom Tubbs
Jaiku is more conversational and there is an active Finnish / Nordic community but it's not as international as Twitter. Friendfeed might emerge into a global conversational platform. What do you think?
