"Remind your senators to support and push forward the Omnibus Public Land Management Act - it is the most important land conservation measure in years." - Joshua James via Bookmarklet
"As it heads out the door, the Bush administration is handing the keys to our national forests over to the mining, timber and oil and gas industries. Its targets are the crown jewels of our national forest system - millions of acres of pristine landscapes in Alaska's Tongass Rainforest and Idaho's Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem." - Joshua James via Bookmarklet
Subversion of this law has resulted with the pollution of literally millions of acres of wilderness, national forest and roadless areas. Including, the pollution of protected scenic and wild rivers. Here in Idaho, this has led to a Canadian Gold Mining outfit polluting the Boise River and has put approx. 6.3 - 7.6 million acres of roadless forest (out of the 9.3 available) at risk of invasive development. This is the last step to reforming this horrific law, end ending energy company kickbacks to key republican political leaders. - Joshua James

Not too much of surprise... so much of what we see has been censored, altered or disinformation loaded. Not really a surprise re: McCain either. He failed navy psyc tests 4x after returning from being a POW. Who wouldn't? - Joshua James
I am so tired of mainstream media trying to feed me their untruths. I make it a point to avoid cable news altogether and pray to the internet gods (grin) - Dom
I like ATVs as much as anyone else, but I've witnessed (first hand) too many ORVers (Off Road Vehicle) driving on non-motorized trails and off trail destroying lush vegitation... not too mention the backcountry campsites full of trash. It's so bad that I would prefer to see ORVs outlawed until better control measures can be put in place. There's so little land left... it needs to be protected. - Joshua James
The oil and gas industry, President Bush and others are trying to make us believe that opening up more public lands to drilling in the Rocky Mountain states, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the Outer Continental Shelf will reduce fuel prices. - Joshua James via Bookmarklet
