Making this video left me feeling a little bittersweet because for the first time our beloved departed dog Samson wasn’t part of the family album. Still, we knew he would always be with us in spirit, perhaps peeking out from the corner of a video frame, smiling, wagging his tail and watching over us while we celebrated love and friendship. Talking Rape In India - Michel Montecrossa’s New-Topical-Song for Women's Rights, Freedom and Security - http://vimeo.com/groups...
‘Talking Rape In India’, is a New-Topical-Song about the horrifying kidnap gang-rape and murder of a 23 years young Indian woman in a Delhi bus that lead to a nationwide shock and outrage. All over the world a change of attitude towards women is needed to secure respect, equality, freedom, education and justice for every woman and girl on earth. Only then can we truly build nations that are free of rape, corruption and violence. Women of all ages are the all-important economic, social, cultural and ethical work-power that sustains the life of every nation. Michel Montecrossa in his New-Topical-Song ‘Talking Rape In India’ takes a passionate stand for the recognition of women's rights everywhere and for this liberating change of attitude towards women which every nation needs. Michel Montecrossa says about ‘Talking Rape In India’: “I wrote the song ‘Talking Rape In India’ at a time when more and more governments all over the world got poisoned by corruption, lost contact with reality...

where I photograph everything mundane to show how divesity is evident in our daily lives as an act for LGBT activism. Originally only the life forms in nature was included, but starting in 2012 I have started photographing things which surrounds our everyday life. You might not understand the absurdity of finding myself in tears photographing everything mundane—food, notebooks, travel souvenirs. To you, they are just that—mundane things in life. To me, it is a life long fight for justice and equality.

It never “gets better.” The campaign which tells you that it does has no idea wtf they are talking about. People who are narrow minded will continue to hate and discriminate you for who you are. But when you grow older you will learn to understand that their hating you is not your fault. You can try to educate and help them understand you better. You can also try to understand why they think the way they do. Investigate. Research. Do not give up. Don't hate them for hating you. Invite a dialog with them. #smlphil#LifeCelebratesDiversity#ccby#smluniverse#smlprojects#philosophy#思想#gay#lgbt#同志#people #人 #diversity#多樣#activism#life #生 #opinions

#IMPORTANT#africa#lgbt#gay#policy The Ugandan Parliament is set to pass a brutal law that may carry the death penalty for homosexuality. If they do, thousands of Ugandans could face execution or life imprisonment -- just for being gay. We stand with citizens across Uganda who are calling on their government to withdraw once and for all the Anti-Homosexual Bill, and to protect the universal human rights embodied in the Ugandan constitution. We urge Uganda’s leaders and key partner countries to join us in rejecting persecution and upholding values of justice and tolerance.

—@WSJ #us#energy#startup#future A clean-tech start-up that thinks it has solved a problem that has vexed engineers for decades–how to effectively store energy generated by wind and sunshine–has gained some heavyweight financial backers. Fong, who at the time she co-founded the company had dropped out of a Ph.D. program at Princeton University that she began when she was 17, began thinking that water and compressed air could be combined to solve the energy storage problem. Water spray, because of its high surface area and heat capacity, would work extremely well as a heat exchanger, she reasoned. By spraying water droplets into the air as it compresses in a technique called isothermal compression, the droplets absorb most of the heat, so that the air’s temperature doesn’t change much and most of the energy is still available. The water is then separated from the air and recycled.

#mil#art by Leyendecker @TheAdvocateMag via @sml8data #lgbt Military recruitment art, and advertising that used military images was produced by men to appeal to men. Sweaty, shirtless men in intimate situations with other sweaty muscular men were rendered to attract impressionable men of age to enlist. So why do they look so homoerotic to the modern eye? Was that the intent? Certainly artists like J.C. Leyendecker were openly gay. What about McClelland Barclay?
