Student version which is the same as retail to my understanding. It nice to know people with .edu addresses.

you get it installed yet? What stopped working?

The download version wouldn't let me do an upgrade so I need clean install. Now that I have the disc I can install it. Thanks Paul Thurrott !

"Laying out the administration's bottom line, Ms. Napolitano said officials would argue for a "three-legged stool" that includes tougher enforcement laws against illegal immigrants and employers who hire them and a streamlined system for legal immigration, as well as a "tough and fair pathway to earned legal status.""

"Now they can tell Obama that if Israel accepts his proposal they will move forward also. They know Israel won’t accept his proposal; this gives them a perfect excuse for refusing to take difficult and costly steps for peace. Loudly, they curse Netanyahu’s intransigence in public; quietly, they toast him at home."

"2600 printed its first payphone photo in the Autumn 1988 issue. We received so many more contributions that printing pictures of foreign payphones became a regular feature a year later. The pictures appeared on page 2, which was limited to black and white. In the Autumn 1994 issue, we moved the payphones to the back page and put the table of contents on page 3. This enabled the payphone photos to be printed in their original color form."

I'm guessing in a few years there will be something like "Ultra-BluRay" and then there will have to be the same Star Trek series on that new type with even BETTER content...... O_O. LOL Maybe by then we can have the whole series on 1 disc and then the BETTER content on another disc.

"Learn how to make a dirt simple (basically free) wifi antenna booster using tin foil. Yes, it sounds crazy, but it actually works and significantly increases your wifi signal in the dead zones of your house. The video above is pretty lengthy, but does a good job walking you through a few optimal designs."

I've been running a Nintendo USB WiFi adapter transmitting signals for a few months now but haven't used it yet, lol. I have 1 game for it but I rarely play it.

"Though the terminology was still to be refined, the cornerstone of a billion-dollar entertainment franchise was solidly in place. And when NBC committed to ordering a pilot episode in June 1964, it was time to start building that franchise’s foundation. As Star Trek producer Gene Coon said; “Gene created a totally new universe.” Television being a visual medium, the question now was, what was this universe going to like like?"

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I got all 2 episode DVDs from the first season. But after reading about the full season DVD sets and how they totally redid them with computers and stuff to make them look a lot better, I may get those too. But then again, I can also watch episodes for free online... decisions decisions. But I don't know if the new redone ones are online or not.

When I do purchase the seasons, I'm going to buy the non enhanced versions. When I watched both, it looks better sometimes, but not all the time. And remember, TOS is supposed to look cheesy. It was the 60's.

Yeah, I am going to try and find the older episodes too. I do like the special effects on the updated ones, they do look good. But they are so good looking its a bit jarring, they take me right out of it.

Incredible. I'm not going to get the new ones for awhile.

Fwd: Yesterday my site was hacked and a Bank of America phishing scam was installed on my domain. Looking at my server stats, approximately 400 people hit my site because of the scam (and for me, that's quite a lot). Now that this has happened, I'm wondering - should I just get rid of the domain name and move my site to a different host? (via...
